zer0.uK - A CS:GO Community - With a bit of Competitive on the side.

zer0.uk started out as many new Counter-Strike clans did by signing up to the European gaming league Enemy Down.

The majority of the players came from The Cage UK and from DOPEY Clan, all with lots of potential to go far. Their experiences in the game had varied a lot, for example Co-Leader Neil "w00k" Lancaster is mostly known for his work as the manager of the world renowned team, alltherage, which he helped create, arguably, the best gaming organisation in the United Kingdom and certainly in the Top 10 in Europe, competing with the likes of SK and 4Kings. The other leader, Rich "SectioN" Herman was the leader of DOPEY clan, which contained a few members from TC.UK. Several of these players then went on to join the original zer0.uk team that was created in the spring of 2004.

The team played matches and PCWs more and more often, and on several occasions were playing CS for periods well over 12 hours non-stop while they went over new tactics and strategies to be used in upcoming games. The clan was very successful in Enemy Down, from being the winners of Counter-Strike Division 3 where they started, and from getting through to becoming the winners of Division 1 and coming runners up in the Premiership. They also competed in the old Great British Gaming League, being one of the few teams that played in it, and had the same sort of results there, as they did in the Suicide Gaming League.

After them splitting up due to other commitments, they did reform in 2006 when w00k and SectioN randomly met each other again on a public Condition Zero server. That lead to the formation of the new zer0, which recruited more players, new and old, which started to compete in leagues again, but not with quite the success they previously had. They then continued to play which eventually lead to the development of the Zero Anti-Cheat Gaming Community, which was aimed to be a new league for Counter-Strike teams of any skill level to compete in a cheat-free environment under the new anti-cheat program that was being developed. Unfortunately after the lack of commitment by some members and the unpredicted departing of several of the newer players, the system ground to a halt, which was what caused zer0 to break apart again because of the lack of consistent and reliable players.
