Balancing Activity (mostly on ORP)


So a few days ago, Schoolboy, Harland and I sat in a Teamspeak channel purley to dicuss custom jobs.
Lots of things were discussed and organised, one of them being the removal of the custom job founded by Massacure (The Ex - Owner of Purge) called the Imperial Emperors. This job was extremely overpowered, as Mass was simply adding weapons without payment to the community. When School, Harland and I discussed this, we came to the joined decision that we must remove the job sadly.

So continuing on with the last topic, we had alot of people from the custom job come to us and say things like what about the people who payed the £20 to get into the job in the first place? Well, Harland came up with an ingenious idea:
Why not let the people who spent £20 pounds have £20 off the Werwolf Gaming store?
So we have done that and if there is anyone who still hasn't spoke to Harland about that please do so, if you have any problems getting his attention I do not recommend shouting "James has resigned." I got into trouble for that :D

Ok moving on. Another way we are going to combat the massive amounts of lag that we are getting is to completely remove explosives from all custom jobs. I know people payed for them and we are mid way through sorting that. James and I are trying to get you maybe a gun or two back, because it is unfair that the server has to lag and custom jobs have to pay for it, but unfortunately we have to do it.

Also to reduce the amount of RPGs on the server we have increased the price of them from the bang dealer to $500,000. We hope we will see less people "blowing ♥♥♥♥ up."

To decrease the amount of the lag on Purge Schoolboy has created some extra rules to lower the amount of massive dupes that we have on the server. One of the rules for example is that bases are not allowed to block the beach.

Again staying on the theme of reducing lag I will be lowering the prop limit from 100 to 75.

Going back to when Schoolboy and I were talking to Harland about custom jobs we decided to make a cap on the amount of people per custom job. It is 10.

Thanks to another great idea from your ex - Head Admin Sh4dow Shooter, we have had great success with the RP events that have been happening on the server. During the six weeks we will have 2 RP Events per day and during school we will have 1 per week. We are still looking for ideas for these events, but so far they have been working out really well.

And finally, (This is aimed at the staff team) as I said at the staff meeting, Pointless, Sh4dow and I have been working very closely and will soon be compairing staff sheets to see if people need to balance out their activity across WW2 Occupational Roleplay and Purge.

Hey guys.

Just wanted to update everyone on the work me, Schoolboy and Gabe have been doing to improve Purge managment wise, and ingame wise.

Firstly, a large batch of new cars have been added to the car dealer thanks to Hydrogen. As of now no cars will be available for users.

Lots of new things were added to the Purge spreadsheet. Custom jobs have been listed with their owners and people who have access to that custom job. This will make things so much easier for us to organise updates ect for custom jobs.
RP Groups have also been added with their members and alliances.

The new jobs have been talked about between me, Schoolboy and Gaben and we are in the middle of adding them to the Purge Rules. When we do so we will inform you and make sure that the staff familiarise themselves with the rules when they have been added.

A staff meeting and a unique meeting have been planned:

The next staff meeting will be a week on Saturday, i'm still scepticle if I can make it or not but we'll see closer to the time.
However on Friday I have planned a unique meeting for anyone interested in RP Groups and Custom Jobs. We will hopefully have Harland attending telling anyone about how to get a custom job in lots of depth, followed by myself talking about RP Groups, how to join them and how important they are for the benifit of Roleplaying.

I will also have the owners of Custom jobs and RP Groups to organise any ingame issues like alliances ect.

Now since unfortunately Massacure has been banned of WG we will have to pick a new leader for the Imperial Emperors custom job.

Mentors:

The way we are going to do the mentor system is very simple.

We are in the process of asking senior admins if they would like to be a mentor and who the will mentor. If you are a mod or trail mod, a senior admin may get it touch with you.

The mentors will arange a meeting time with Soviet Gabe and will teach the Mods and Tmods, helping them to improve overall as a staff member in the Purge.

It is crutial that we do this, because if we don't, the staff team will colapse.
