For all the /vp/oreons wanting to make friends or just talk

I was thinking last night about this, a /vp/-Dex General Championship.

Everyone who wants to participate should say so here or in the general and would be added to a list, then, after we have a nice amount of people, we would scramble the names and set them all in pairs and groups of four, they would battle each other, go on to the next round and so on until a Champion wins the gold (then find out who are the Elite 4 between the 2nd and 5th place too)

I'm sure this could work and would be a lot of fun, not to mention make these threads keep on working better for a while.

However, I want to know what would you prefer.
Using Pokémon cartridges (Gen V) or Pokémon Showdown.
