So, here's a game that I heard lots about. One of the many games that I purchased on a whim and never play but after being guilted into having a big library of games I never played, I decided to start chiselling away at the games I have.

First off, if you have read other reviews be prepared to cry.... alot... It's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ actually the amount of emotions that go through this. It's as if the author of the game scientifically came up with a formula that pulls at your heart strings and after he pulls it to the point where he can pull no more -- he yanks your still beating heart out of your chest cavity and leaves it on the floor. He does so with such efficiency that you actually can't believe it is actually happening for a second. There were alot of points during the game where I went, you know what would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up? If he'd introduce this spin only to see in about 5 minutes that he did exactly that.

The game is about a man who is about to die. He hires a company to grant him one last wish. The company has a machine that reads your mind/memories and snips here plucks here to grant you your last wish.

The game plays like a 2D RPG hailing back to the days of FF1 only with better art because there are more dots per square cm. Don't expect an action adventure fantasy rpg because this is not. You do not collect swords, armor, trinkets, or flares. You collect memory fragments. Yes memory fragments and some simple repetative picture puzzle to give you the illusion that this is a game.

Which it isn't. This really ISN"T a game. It's more of an interactive story telling device where you control where the character goes, but not what he says. You control what he/she decides, but not the destination. I've always thought of putting something together kind of like this where the game isn't actually a game but a story telling device, and I'm glad to see it in action -- so I don't have to do it.

Not to say it's a bad game... Not to say it's a great game. It's a good story. It's actually a good story to have a girlfriend or significant other to share the experience with so that you get some emo sex at the end of the night. In fact, I'm actually hard pressed to call it a game. I would call it an interactive movie. More like an interactive non-speaking cartoon that you shouldn't show to children. If you're in the mood for some touchy-feely time I'd pick it up. 8/10
