FIX TF2's Economy, with the power of the vote!

Democratically form currency standards to stabilize TF2's in-game economy.

I am looking for motivated people, reputable traders, to become Admins of this group and spearhead the motion to stabilize a form of currency for TF2. Let me know if you're interested in working toward this goal!


ENTIRELY NEW IDEA:

Let's add a currency item to tf2, and initiate a push-pull free trade capitalist economy in the form of player to player trading and player to mann-co store trading!

Basically, look at other MMO's and their functional economies.
Players use an in-game currency, let's call it "gold" for familiarity, to buy items from a) other players and b) AI-controlled NPCs designated as traders/merchants.

The Non-Player Traders sell their items for prices based on player demand. If players are buying lots of metal all the time, the price of metal from the trader goes up.

Player Traders sell their items for prices based on the Non-Player Traders' prices. So if a player tries to sell metal for more than a NPC is selling for, you can just buy from the NPC. So, players maintain a balance on the price that is nearly free of manipulation because it is entirely dictated by supply and demand. Market manipulation becomes much, much more difficult.
