Welcome To My Server Group!

This group is for those among my friends love to play terraria, to the point where it usually cuts them off from society and friends for months at a time. This group is here to prevent that. This group is here to ensure you cut yourself off from society WITH your friends in the world of Terraria!

As of Thursday, 12-1-11(after the update of course) I will be trying my best to host a server that's up regularly so we can experience the new world to the fullest.

This group will largely be used to explain the rules of the server and to gather friends who wanna play together, but it will also be used for part of the server. There will be events, monthly contests and, if everyone cooperates, quests to complete within the game.

Item list update #1

As you hopefully read in the rules, when the server started you were only allowed to bring the items I listed. However, after the first day, we have already found ore up to demonite and defeated EOC. The following are the ones that moved in:

Nurse
Merchant
Demoman

Anything sold by these NPCs under normal circumstances( have not had a blood moon yet), along with items found in the cavern layer that can be mined with up to gold tools, and demonite tools that do not need scales to craft, are acceptable to bring.

I will always post each day if the item list is updated or not.

1. What you can bring:
With this server we will all start the new world with new characters and the default tools given. You may not bring any items other than :
-Vanity items( Armor used in the vanity slot does not count)
-money (takes too long to collect, so pooling it is our best bet)
-each player may bring ONE spell of their choice(anything that costs mana to use, including the space gun counts)
As we progress through the game, I will consider letting us bring other items into the server. But to start, you may only bring the default tools and the items mentioned above.

2.DO NOT RUSH IT!
we're all excited to fight the new bosses and gain the new items we can get by getting to hard mode, as am I. but we will have people brand new to the game on the server as well, and it wouldn't be fair to them to drag them along instead of letting them enjoy themselves. If you want to sommon a boss, check with us first and if we're all ready then go for it. If you are going to join the server with the idea of doing something like killing skeletron and raiding the dungeon by yourself, then you might as well leave the group now. We want this to be fun for everyone. As for actually getting to hardmode, I will decide when we are ready for it( I got a quest in mind that will prove you're ready =p).

3. don't be an ass
this one is kinda obvious, the whole "treat others as you wanna be treated" bit. if someones new to the game or something like that, there's no need to insult them if they do something wrong. enough said.

4. We're all in it together
I don't want to see someone collecting all the useful items and hoarding for themselves. if someone else is in greater need of something make sure to share. if you have something you will no longer need, before you sell it check to see if anyone else can put it to use first. if we only have 1 or 2 well equipped people and everyone else is poorly equipped we probably wont be able to handle the new bosses.The opposite is also true. I dont want to see someone mooching off of everyone else the entire time, or staying out of a fight and letting everyone else take care of it. everyone needs to contribute. Also no PVP, ive never been too fond of it and it wont help us advance if were killing eachother.

5. I didn't even think it was possible...
Using hacks of any kind on the server will not be tolerated. If I or one of the other group admins catches you or suspects that you are hacking, you will be immediately removed from the group. I will immediately close down the server and change the password once the person is removed from the group. If you suspect someone is hacking, notify one of the group admins via private chat. (kudos to red mage for demonstrating that hacking terraria is possible.)

6. Didn't think I'd have to bring this up either...
Do not grief houses or players. If you accidentally grief someone by, say, tossing a grenade at a mob and they happen to be close enough or something like that, be sure to apologize. I don't think i need to explain this any further either.
