It only took like 9 months, but the medals are now available. Doesn't even seem like you need to log in on the ETF2L site, just start up TF2 and you'll get it.

Just in case you haven't noticed yet, the tournament is now practically over (Finally), with the only thing left being the third place match.

They've already put up a page to claim your medal at, but it's not yet available - Keep an eye out for when it is.
