ABOUT Tactical Warfare Regiment

Not for the weak or the fainthearted

Hello warriors. Welcome to the Tactical Warfare Regiment. I am Ghost, your leader. As I mentioned before I am going to be talking about some offensive maneuvers today that we will be conducting. But before that I am going to talk about and describe the four main elements of an offensive operation.

1. Support

The support element provides immediate suppressive fire, enabling the assault element to close with the enemy and to provide any other required support. The support force isolates the AO (Area of Operations) and the actual entry point into the area, allowing assault to secure a foothold. The support element may also conduct additional tasks, such as securing cleared rooms, floors, and stairs as the assault element clears the rest of the building. However, this seriously affects the available combat power of the assault element and is best accomplished by follow-on forces.

2. Breach

Breach is normally integrated into the assault element. But can also be conducted as a separate element. The breach element's objective is to use explosives, flash bangs, decoys, and smoke at the point of entry of the AO to provide the assault element with easier access to the enemy and objective.

3. Assault

The assault element kills or forces the withdrawal of the enemy from the objective, so that the team may complete the map's objective. Building and room clearing is typically conducted as well. The way clearing is conducted is the assault squad does a quick clear of the room or hallway, while the support team provides close-in security for the clearing team and after the clear, assumes the duties of the clearing team.

4. Reserve

The reserve should be mobile, well forward and prepared to become the assault element. To be effective, the reserve should be in position to rapidly take over and assume the duties of the assault element if the assault element should go down. This often means moving directly behind the assault element. Typically the reserve element is called upon to exploit an enemy weakness or friendly success. Secure the rear or a flank. Defend against an enemy counterattack. Attack from another direction/flank. Conduct support by fire or attack by fire as needed.

Moving on to offensive movement and maneuvers. When executing all of these movements and maneuvers we must always be alert. Avoid presenting a silhouette in doors and in windows, and always move with at least one other player for security. First, I'm going to talk about how to move through hallways. The two basic techniques for moving through hallways are the Serpentine and the Rolling-T.

I have a limit of 3000 characters. Read the full post below in discussions, please.
