Failed to connect to Steam
I cannot sign in to the Steam Chat App since this morning getting the error message
"Failed to connect to Steam" in a red window.

Does anybody has the same issue and/or a solution?

Also via the Steam Mobile App it's not possible to sign in to the chat app (same error message).

Same here, but we're Not alone with this problem, but there is No reaction from Steam on the Threads.

Same here, changed my account password. I was able to login to steam app but not to the chat app.

I am having the same issue as of 5 minutes ago on iOS. Password and user work fine on Steam App and am logged in there.
Every other Steam app/client works aside from the Chat app.

I honestly don't understand.

Just bumping because I'm having the same issue. It's incredibly annoying, considering I NEED the app to talk to people on my phone ever since the app updated.

While the update is really well made, the previous steam app was a mess, this new chat app is awful, and now I can't respond to anybody online when I'm not at home.

I just ran into that issue myself after resetting my password.
What's even happening to the steam apps wtf? Upgrades, more like downgrades...
Does anyone find a workaround to connect ?

Hello,

It looks like you haven't yet provided some of the information we need in order to help you.
In your next message, type out in full the CD Key registered to your Steam account so we can easily investigate this issue. This can be a CD Key received from an online retailer or a physical store.
Then, attach an image of that CD key. The image should be a digital photo or scan of the CD Key in .jpg format, or a screenshot of the CD key as it appears in your digital purchase receipt. Please ensure that you submit a full-color image, rather than a photocopy.

Check out our Retail CD Keys article if you're having trouble locating any of your CD Keys.
The image you'll send to us should look something like these examples for physical CD keys:

The outsourced support staff thinks you are trying to regain access to an account. Not surprised by the response but it is kinda silly.
