Hey guys, im really sorry for the delay!

I've been having PC issues for the past month or so, and my computer hasn't stayed functioning long enough for me to download Steam until now.

As such, i've lost all my modded maps, and other programs i had downloaded previously. If someone could be so kind as to send me a link for any glitch fixes i will need to download to play again that would be much appreciated!

Also, i am still very interested in getting this competition going, so if anyone has ideas for maps please send them my way!

hey everyone, i've been getting messages about some details i havn't disclosed yet about this competition. this post is to fill everyone in on what has been put together, thus far.

Events will be held on weekends, not sure how often yet. Due to the fact that Spintires only allows lobbies of 4 players at a time, there will be 4 events/ weekend (2 Saturday, 2 Sunday, with 2 competitors in each event and 2 non-biased judges) which appoximates to 8 people competing per weekend. i am in talks with a map builder, so i will be holding a trial weekend before the end of March to see how this will work out, and if there needs to be any changes to be made.

Rules:

At the point in time, the rules are as follows:

-Each player will attempt to complete the course. they are awarded 1 point for every meter they drive through the course, and points will be deducted for damage taken. Repair points are NOT allowed, and there will be no add-ons allowed on vehicles at all. this is the only way judges can be sure the competition is fair. i will be doing testing and posting a list of allowable vehicles within the next week.

-Each player will be allowed to use the winch 2 (two) times during their event. Any more winches needed will result in a 100 point loss per winch use. Judges will be watching and listening carefully to the player who is making their run, so i would appreciate if we could keep chit chat and banter to a minimum while players are making their runs. there will be time for that during intermissions. Players will be awarded bonus points if they do not use their winch at all (100 pts) and awarded 50 pts if they use only once.

-In the event of a tie, the player with the quickest time will be the winner. Judges will be in charge of time keeping.

-Competitors will be disqualified for the following: Using repair points during their run, not informing the judge when using a winch.

Like i said guys, this is still a work in progress, but i do want to keep everyone informed and interested. please feel free to suggest rules/thoughts to me, i will take them into consideration.

UPDATE:

i totally forgot about the Steam Broadcast option, and it was brought to my attention that judges may be able to use it to view the competition. i will be looking into it further during the week, as i have my son this weekend and won't be online much.
