Greetings, oh wandering soul. Gaze ye upon the Skylords of Nyn, a community of high class, as the once powerful guardians of the realm of Nyn proudly unite to stand tall and face the world during and after their times in need, as well as to exterminate all potential threats in the progression and lifespan of this group, which is supposed to be rather infinite.

We, masters of the Forge itself, keepers of peace and war in our realms, have bound our powers to continue to exist, to remain a close community and to remember the times of BattleForge having brought us together where we are now.

Time passes, games reach the ends of their times of brilliance...
However, its community is not bound to fade into darkness.
And consisting of brave warriors, heroic leaders, saviours of the realm, knights, civilised men and mighty Dragons, fading away is not an option.
We shall not fade.
We shall live on.
We shall stand together.

We've got an update for you on this fine day: we now have a website and forum where you can all gather and hang out for the latest updates and discussions. It's freshly made so fill the void!

BattleForge will return!

That's right! Or well, its return is actually quite likely. No, this is not about Legacy ReForge, this is in fact about something else.

BattleForge Reborn

A former battleforge player and programmer, Mihawk, has started the project BattleForge Reborn along with a friend, in which they reverse engineer the old BattleForge client some of us still have installed into an actual functioning BattleForge private server! This means that with enough time, effort, and luck, they will be able to have BattleForge as we know it back for all their fans to play for absolutely free. Not even BFP can be bought, as the intention is to make the entire project non-profit and charity-based, BFP will be distributed in generous amounts for daily logins, quests, and tournaments.

Progress is actually being made at a full-time basis. They are currently as far as to have the login, forge, chat, deckbuilding, boosters, card spawning, and even level selecting functioning, and are working very hard to get the auction house and the actual game modes running. Progress is happening, and heck is it fast. They have had so much support from the community already and it's really helping!

Some important FAQ:

Q:Is this legal?
A:Surprisingly much. Whereas yes, EA has the BF IP, BattleForge Reborn is designed to be private and non-profit in any way, thereby avoiding a lot of copyright barriers. Since EA/Phenomic will be credited as it is their client, and since no money is intended to be made, this should be a legal project. I've heard word that someone actually confirmed this by asking EA online. Now technically we are breaching the EULA but this is very often plainly ignored, especially for a dead game from a nonexistent studio. So this is as legal as a software reverse engineering process can possibly be.

Q:Will it be 100% F2P?
A: Yes, absolutely. BFP, boosters and auctions are still a thing but BFP will only be obtainable for free through daily logins, quests, and events.

Q:...but how are they keeping a private server up?
A: Through donations. A donation system is set up for those who wish to support BattleForge Reborn. If the amount of money they receive from this exceeds the amount of money necessary to keep the server up, the excess money will be donated to the charity "Save the Children", and soon also other charities of your choice.

Q: Where will the server be located?
A: Somewhere in central Europe. (BF servers have mostly been in Europe.) Word goes currently Czech Republic is an option.

Q: Can I enter with my old client?
A: Nope, a new one will be required to download.

Q: (Where) can I download this?
A: You can't yet. Have patience!

Q: How long will the development take?
A: The development time is unknown. Could take days, could take some weeks. However, know that the team is seriously working in this at any moment, nearly 24/7 so they try all they can!

Q: Will you be playing this, you insanely handsome Dragon Skylord?
A: What a ludicrous question that is. Of course I will!
