Never give up.

Hey, everyone.

Get Good has fallen off the radar over the past few weeks. Some people have been asking what happened to it and what to expect in the future. You definitely deserve an explanation, so here we are.

Long story short, myself and the rest of the GG crew have not had enough time. Personally, I returned to university in September, and I work part-time. I have also had to give up some weekends due to familial obligations. The quality of Get Good has clearly dropped because of this. We haven't stuck to our weekly schedule, VODs are missing, we stopped producing new bumpers... It is not what it used to be.

After a lot of consideration, we have decided to stop running Get Good. We had a good run, but it's no longer sustainable. From my perspective, I don't see it coming back any time soon. I had a lot of fun commentating your matches and watching you improve over time. A great community formed around Get Good, and I've enjoyed getting to know some of you better.

If you take anything away from Get Good, I hope that you stay determined and continue to improve. Don't stop working towards that goal of "getting good", and help other players along the way. Helping each other is the best way to support the scene. Omnyx and I improved a ton by participating in Newbie Night tournaments. When Newbie Night went away, we decided to start our own event to help new players, which led to Get Good. Maybe someone will want to launch their own spiritual successor to Get Good, similar to what we did for Newbie Night.

Myself and the other commentators aren't going away. I'm sure you'll still see us pop up on Reddit, quick match, and so on. Maybe you'll even see us at tournaments. The Steam group will also remain online. The event may be ending, but hopefully the community won't disappear.

Again, it's been fun. Keep on playing, and never give up.
