DERANKING GUIDE

Start a lobby in-game and go to your steam profile. Right click the green "Join lobby"-button and press "Copy Link". To join from link you just need to copy it in a browser and you will join in-game automatically, even if your game wasn't started before.


It's not hard to find a full derank lobby. Just go to the group search and type "deranking", you will see some derankers groups. Pick the biggest of them and join. After you can see in the group comments on the startpage people posting lobby-links. Just pick one that you want and join.


Some rules/instructions for deranking in the right way and being a valuable part of the derankers community for a long time without be banned for griefing.

• Set your maxping to 350 by copy mm_dedicated_search_maxping 350 in your console. It will help to find a server faster, especially if you're deranking with guys from foreign regions.
  
• Type +forward and +back in console for staying afk and don't be kicked for inactivity from the server.
  
• Don't spin by using +left or +right instead of +back, because you will annoy your mates and they even could kick you for this. Furthermore it don't looks good in the Overwatch Demo, if your opponents report you for griefing, especially if you que with less than 5 people.
  
• Don't stay afk if you joined a deranking lobby that was tagged as 'NO AFK'.
  
• Don't kick derankers for being afk, if you didn't tagged your lobby as 'NO AFK'.
  
• Try not to tell or show your opponents that you are deranking, it will protect you from many griefing reports. Just stay afk by using +forward and +back or rush in your enemies while shooting their feets or beside them. Don't use any derankers clantags and set your profile to private while you are deranking. Furthermore you could have derankers in your enemy team, that will try to bring the non-derankers in their team to abandon or just disconnect for surrender.
  
• Try not to make too much teamdamage by attacking/killing your mates or yourself, because one of your mates could run in your bullets or your nades by a mistake or even purposely and you will be banned.
  
• Never que with less than 5 people, even if you want to kick the random. Especially don't try to troll the random or try to bring him to abandon by using the 'molotov strat' or something other brilliant moves. Overwatch Bans for griefing (5 weeks or more) are very real.

Of course you can win this magical 3 rounds, you can even win 14 rounds. But there is no reason why you should need to win any round, 'cause a lose is a lose and a griefing report is a griefing report. I already played a lot of deranking games with dfiferent scores (from 0:16 to 14:16) and I didn't deranked faster or slower because of the score.


It sounds curious, but it's tested and it's true: for faster derank, you need to kill something for earning points. I tried both and was able to see, that I derank faster if I play the game instead of staying afk. I don't know how many kills are minimum (maybe 10-15, maybe less), but at least there is no maximum. Because upranking/deranking depends only on won or losed games and Volvo doesn't care how many kills or MVP's you got and how big your skill-penis is.

A lot of people will say 'NO! I uprank, because I'm a very skilled player', but it's a myth. You uprank only if you win (doesnt matter how) or derank if you lose. Just if you have too less kills it takes a little bit longer (for both). Since I stucked in Gold Nova (long time ago) I started to note my full matchmaking game stats for analyze the ranking system, so I had a protocol of over 400 games in a row. I upranked with more wins than loses or deranked with more loses than wins, doesn't matter if I were the topfragger with over 100 points or was carried like a silver. So you can easy derank with 14 MVP's and 40+ kills against Silver 1 opponents, if your team lose the game.


'Silver 1 is the new Global Elite' and for many people it seems to be harder to reach Silver 1 than uprank to the highest rank in the game. How many games you need to lose for Silver 1 depends on the rank where you started and how the games was played. If you're staying afk all the time you will need 12 or more games for one rank, by playing the game (kill some opponents) you could derank in already 6 games in a row. Only the derank from Silver 2 to Silver 1 is much harder than in other ranks, here you will need 20 or more games in a row.

Important is not to win any games and try to make a long and clear lose streak. The best way for reaching Silver 1 faster is to start as unranked or with a lower rank as possible. Deranking by staying afk only could help you too, it will take longer, but you don't need to waste your time by playing a lot of games and it don't annoy you so fast by giving the feeling that to reach Silver 1 seems take forever.


It's possible to derank, even if you play as Silver in a full Global Elite lobby, but it takes longer because of the enemy elo. The best way is to derank with silvers only or maximum Gold Nova 1.

An important rule in deranking is not to trust an unranked, except you know his actually elo. Look at his wins and maybe ask him for screenshots of his last games. I for my part always put screenshots on my unranked accounts in the profile of every solo que, so people can see, where my actually elo is. If you don't have any screenshots, look at his wins. If he has 0 wins, he will be maximum Gold Nova 2 or less if he already losed some games. If he has 2 wins, he is maximum Gold Nova Master or Master Guardian 1. More wins than this could be everything, the maximum elo for unrankeds is Legendary Eagle Master. So if you're not sure about the unranked elo, better don't waste your time. Anyway you can be sure, that an unranked with 0 wins is maximum Gold Nova 2.



Especially in Silver it happens, that you meet derankers like you in the other team. This situation will bring an unwanted win for one of the teams. If you don't want to be in the winner team, you have following possibilities:

• If one in your team didn't get a cooldown in the last time and would be banned for 30 minutes or 2 hours, he should disconnect, so the rest of the team can surrender. For the disconnected guy it will be a lose too!
  
  
• Kick each other until one left. The last guy who left can open the console and type status. There will be a 'userid' beside your nickname and your SteamID that looks like "3 2" or "2 1". Copy it and write in the console callvote kick userid (instead of 'userid' you paste your userid, that you copied before). Because all players were be kicked the opponents team win. If it doesn't work to kick yourself and you're alone, just try to disconnect every round until the game is over.
  
  
• Try to disconnect together. Just disconnect and reconnect again all, so your team is losing every round very fast. Don't wait too long or stay afk, even if you're Terrorists and lose anyway by don't planting the bomb. The derankers could use the time to bring a random to abandon or following this tips faster than you.
