The long awaited Shattered Worlds Freelancer mod has been released. A talented DevTeam from over 6 different Freelancer communities have gathered to work on this ambitious project. Collectively, the team combined modding knowledge and lessons learned from numerous mods/servers, they picked the best concepts from from other mods; which were implemented, improved and further expanded. The entire game has been overhauled from the ground up to create a cutting edge balance scheme. The DevTeam also added hundreds of weapons/equipment items, and added over 60 new ships many of which are exclusive to the mod. The end result is one of the most balanced and highest quality Freelancer modifications ever conceived. New Gaming Forum!

Due to the untimely death of our last forum from hosting complications, and the expansion of Shattered Worlds to a broad multi-game community, we have created a new forum and a new domain name to host it at! We'll be looking into making it look a little more flashy and functional over the coming week or so (it's still very new).

So come and register on our new forums and take the oportunity to suggest games we should cover on the sight and invite friends to join us!

Awarded ModDB’s Top 100 Mods of 2009

Despite fierce competition among numerous mods from many other games and other Freelancer mods, the Shattered Worlds::War-Torn mod received the prestigious honor of being one of the ModDB’s Top100 mods of 2009. Many thanks to the entire Freelancer community, active player-base, the ModDB staff, and others within the FL community for voting for us, we appreciate your support!

Having said that, SW-WT are now in the running for the Top 5 mods of 2009 and they need your support. Please go to our ModDB page and vote for them. Every vote is needed! They are competing with many newer games and many mods which have been around longer than they have. I strongly feel that they can make a strong showing if the entire community bands together and votes.

I also highly urge the server veterans who have not played recently to check the mod out. Many things have been improved since the initial release. Many feel that the current Version 1.2 is a drastic improvement over Version 1.1. If you have not checked it out, I encourage you to do so. The community has grown to over 4000 forum accounts and you’re sure to meet new players on the server. With Version 1.3 coming soon, I’m sure we will take Freelancer mods to a whole new level, continuing the cycle of growth and our commitment to Freelancer modding excellence.

Still my favorite Freelancer mod and server. Wish we could have these days back, but maybe one day. Still a great experience in singleplayer though. Have a great day to anyone who reads this.

Just happened to have been on a nostalgia binge and decided to look up to see what happened with SW. To all my friends from Asgard, love from Anubis, the insane Nomad worshipper. I also apologize for my autistic ass back in the day. I was a blithering idiot. But I never forgot how much fun I had with everyone.

While waiting for the Underverse next version, been playing (starting over, my files seem to have been lost, idk?) on the Void server. I can't find the last stable version of SW. Anyone know where I can?
