Bringing the dead back to life one title at a time.

Team Fortress Classic was a Half Life mod Turned source engine game. It was released April 7 1999 and was one of the first games for the engine. The game had it's start back in the good old days of first person shooters, as a mod for Quake World. The mod became very popular, having more than half of the Quake World servers hosting Team Fortress. Then a bunch of stuff hapened that I;m to lazy to look up and it ended up as a mod for Half-Life. The game has no campaign, it is strictly multiplayer. Once you join a server and pick a team (Red/Blue) You are given 9 different Classes to choose from. I'm not going to go to in depth with all of them but here's a brief summary. Sniper, self explanatory. Scout, the really fast one. Demoman, guy with a grenade launcher. Heavy Weapons Guy, guy with a minigun. Soldier, rocket Launcher guy. Pyro, flamethrower Guy. Medic, self explanatory. Engineer, the guy that can build stuff like teleporters and sentry guns. Spy, the guy that can play dead and make himself look like an enemy. The classes are very well balanced, each with there own strengths and weaknesses, evry class can counter and is countered by another class, either by accident or not. Have you ever heard the expersion "This map is this games 2fort" in response to a popular map? This game is where it comes from. 2fort is an insanly popular map with most of the good servers hosting it. Another thing to note is that most server are modded to hell, I recommend staying away from these server as you could get a virus from them or your game could get corrupted, however this more than likely not going to happen. A lot of people don't recommend the game on the fact that most other players have been playing it for years and the'll own you all the way down to hell. Well, I DO recommend it! Here's why. You can learn and get good at any game, regardless of how old it is. Also, if you really want to practice you can get a program called FoxBot which adds bots to TFC. They have some of the best bots I've ever seen, it feels like you're actually playing with real players! No joke! So go check out FoxBot if you do decide to get the game.

In conclusion I Recommend Team Fortress Classic, It's one of the best fast paced first person shooters I've ever seen, and like the title suggests it's very much a classic.
