By Dec 2022, The Government had produced heatmaps, and then created a phone app (connected to Rust+) called Rust Cult which displayed the location of teammate's bases.

By May 2023, the Government heatmap database had recordings from 6 wipes, totalling "12 million footsteps". The maps interestingly showed outlines of walls, tunnels, ziplines, mountains, and coastlines. The positions of gates and doors are also clearly visible.
