It all began with Tribes 1, when many of us were still running 486 PCs. Our progression to all the love that oozes pervasively from the beast that is Steam was a natural one.

For today we play Team Fortress 2. Spark that pilot light, erect that dispenser, and get out into the firefight son - the colour red needs you.*

* Except when the colour blue holds the majority of Rogues.

Rogue Disciples hits Steam

Strikes me this is a lot like the vision Dave Georgeson had for T2 - only, backed by Valve's independance and resources, it has actually achieved the vision. While Steam brings abstraction of the arcane tedium PC games have traditionally been saddled with, the Steam Community brings a brilliant mechanism for making multiplayer stuff really happen. Being able to "follow" a fellow clan member to a server from within or without Steam, or a Steam game, is just fab.

So if you are playing any Steam games and you like the RDers you have gamed with, feel free to ask for an invite. Our community is a long established one, and we have no time for immature idiots - but like-minded folk will always find a spare seat and a welcoming beer passed across the table.

Awesome to see you Trig!. I've been playing since the beta - Mostly thanks to Attikus who now lives near me in Perth. We are both playing on my account because he is still getting a decent PC together. Playing as Straynjer of course.
I also saw Rav on the very first time I joined a server - that was a blast, but sadly I haven't seen him since.

I'm playing as Straynjer on Tribes - but still FrankBlood on steam.
