Red Tides Ark Server group

Welcome to the Red Tides, a steam community group for the game Ark: Survival Evolved.

Here we believe that the Devs at Wildcard Studios have done a fantastic job with the game and as such we continue to follow their vision. With that being the case we do not alter their game with neither mods nor increased rates that trivialize or change how they feel the game should be. We at Red Tides stick as close to official server settings as we can but without the largely toxic community so rampant across the official servers.

We do not ban pvp, as conflict creates interest, but we do have some server rules you will abide by, for the sake of our community, or you will be forcibly removed.

1) No Offline Raiding

Offline raiding is not fun for either party, what fun is it to roll across a defenseless base or to wake up to all your hard work utterly destroyed without getting an opportunity to defend it?

2) New Player Protection

New players are to be left alone by more senior players until such a time as they reach level 20. Players under level 20 are free to engage in pvp amongst themselves, but no player lvl 21 and above should be harassing except in extenuating circumstances. If a low level player is being obnoxious, trolling, or other such activity you find disruptive then you may forcibly remove the individual after issuing a verbal warning. If the individual continues to make a nuisance of themselves they will be removed from the server.

3) No Admin Abuse

This rule applies to only one person, as of now, but is no less concrete than the others. Under absolutely no circumstances will an admin use the tools at their disposal to further their own goals or to help or hamper another's. This is a slippery slope so it's best to just have a zero tolerance policy.
