It doesn't shut the idea down completely if you read the full thing, it's just not happening at launch.

well, it's actually known for some time that id didn't had plans to support any modding for QC ... but i wouldn't give up on that group instantly since we might still see things like extraQL, alternative gamebrowsers or menu-mods. *crossing fingers*
