FAQ

PortMaster Crew and Moderators can only review and list what we own. We try not to neglect any games we port -- if anything is missing, we either haven't gotten to reviewing it yet (this group was established after we already had over a thousand ports) or none of us own the game.

We don't dictate prices, and many ports require you to provide your own game data. We respect developers and don’t redistribute commercial content. If a port isn’t marked "ready to run," it’s because it needs user-supplied files.

We don’t take feature or port requests unless from developers. PortMaster is a community-driven project—if you want it, you can port it or contribute to it. We provide the tools and guides to help.

We love working with game developers and will show interest in potential ports.

Check our documentation and guides on the homepage. Contributions are always welcome, especially from those willing to test and maintain their ports. We list actively supported content.

If it’s published and follows the contribution guidelines, it’ll likely be reviewed when someone on the crew owns it. Otherwise, feel free to share it in the community!

PortMaster is focused on Linux-based retro handhelds like those of Anbernic, Powkiddy, and Retroid. Support may vary depending on the hardware.
