DESPRE the playtesting initiative

This is a private group for map makers and teams in NA Plat/Gold/Silver divisions who want to playtest maps for competitive play. The group will make things go easier on everyone leaving feedback, schedules, stvs, logs, recorded pov streams and whatever else we need that will help the map makers in the process of playtesting so they can improve their map.

TF2Maps.net Contest Proposal

About a month ago I sent TF2maps.net a contest proposal. It’s still in the future plans for UGC, but we need some people from the playtesting initiative group to register on their forums and give feedback if you can. I’m going to start posting the feedback we got from the playtests, pics, my opinion and whatever else to show others how we do things.

If you can please register and give feedback on the maps UGC is playtesting. They want more involvement from the comp scene to give feedback. I even posted direct links so you don’t have to search for the maps :)

I’m still waiting on a few map makers to update their maps that we’ve been playesting lately. Also starting to playtest a couple 4v4 maps with koth_fuel and eventually koth_mannhatel once I get more 4v4 teams to join the group. Trying to get koth sorted for HL, we do have PL plans with a few already developing maps for us. Things just take time.

Also the steam group info was getting out of hand so I took all the map info and put it on this page

FPS issue has been fixed, along with some other things. I took some pics of these changes. Playtesting it tonight with 2 teams.

Not in this group and I wasn't part of making the final call on this season map list. I'm just here trying to have better options for HL/4s map list. Once fully playtested and liked by the highest divisions in UGC. Once we get to that point, that's when we can post about it on the UGC forums, TF.TV, and other pub communities that play custom maps.
