CK2 keeps crashing on me please help
i just got almost all the ck2 exspansions no cosmetic dlc since i don't need it the only exspanions i don't have is holy fury AND IT WON'T WORK! i can get to where you select a character and it crashes without fail and i don't have any mods please please please paradox fix this please i just want to murder my useless heir and get an even more useless heir who will be my ruler and click the mass execute button and burn a 0 year i didn't even know i had in my dungeon at the stake what's wrong with that!? i have verified the cache uninstalled reinstalled i've even deleted file in steamapps nothing has worked at this point i'm hoping someone anyone really who's involved with the dev team will see this and please please work on this i know i would love this game but how can i if i can't even play it i really hope this isn't some dumb thing like i need holy fury for it to work or something

yes i realize that this comment sounds pathetic is the best way to put it and that the chances of anyone involved with the dev team seeing this is probably slim to none but i had to try something and can i just the not being able to hire commanders as the byzantines if you have holy fury is really dumb i mean only allowing you to appoint dukes really? now i don't have holy fury but i have been watching a series by aulddragon and he's going for the hellenism achievment and he has terrible commanders he had a revolt and he out numbered and army but since he had terrible commanders and couldn't get better ones he kept losing battles so yeah that is a dumb change that i really hope they fix because once holy fury is on sale i'm going to buy it and i really don't want to have to deal with that

and i know i'm probably just going to be talking to myself here because i highly doubt the devs would look through the discussion but on the off chance any of them do i would just like to know that they're aware of the problem i just tried to play CK2 again and i rapidly selected a time period and one of the suggested characters it started to load the bar got all the way across and then it froze and the music got stuck just playing the same part of the music over and over please if anyone who has anything to do with paradox sees this i don't care if it's the janitor please ask them to look into this and ask them what they were thinking when they made it so the bzyantines can only have commanders who are landed as i said in the comment above

Try deleting the ...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II-folder on your computer before starting the game.

If the problem persists, submit a ticket through support.paradoxplaza.com

thank you i did try that but i can try it again now someone else said they had the same problem the deleted the file and then it worked but the difference is he had holy fury so i don't know if that's part of the problem or not but it's an idea oh and the link in the pinned discussions in the CK2 community is flagged by steam as malicious
