i created this group to collect information about the +strafe bind and to find some other surfers that are good with this bind

simply explain of noangle?

by using the +strafe bind, you make your "mouse" to a "joystick" like on a controller, where you have ∞ infinity angles to move.
notice: your vision gets locked of course, because you kinda replace your mouse for a controller joystick while using the bind

the bind

bind "mouse4" +strafe

(mouse4 is an example, you can use any buttons)

then press the button while moving the mouse a lot ツ

low dpi?

if your dpi is very low you can use an alias to improve sensivity

before using this, replace the "1.02" sensivity to your sense that you have now in the game

the sensivity 4 you can replace from 0.1 to 8.0, that will be your speed for +strafe, try a few senses that fits to your dpi :)

• 1# type this in your console first:

alias +noangle "sensitivity 4 ; +strafe"; alias -noangle "sensitivity 1.02; -strafe"

• 2# then to bind it, type this in console:

bind mouse4 +noangle

The name "noangle" comes from the surfstyle of the bind "+strafe", which allowes you to move without using the buttons "w s a d" in different directions by
pressing the +strafe bind on a button while moving the mouse to surf like a controller joystick.

The story of the "noangle" bind

Seemingly one of the first tricks the bind has become known with was the trick "g-spin" on the map "greatriver".
Previously, like other tricks, the keys "w s a d" where used to make a spin around the spawnramps.
It is possible to look allmost in one direction and still make the spin arround the spawnramps (angle surf), but in allmost perfekt timing you have to switch between "w s a d" and a little mousemoving in the air to don't lose the speed.
Because the trick is very hard, the idea came up to solve the trick with the "+strafe" bind.
Since you do not have to look in a particular direction, not even use the "w s a d" keys to complete the spin in "Angle Surf", the bind and the surf style are still known as "noangle".
