The boxes and chests you see have items, the items are there for a reason so leave it there.

Tools and practice weapons are free for all - BUT TAKE IT BACK AFTER USE.

If you need something, the item probably needs some materials to build - work on them - nothing comes free in this game.

When the time is right you will be given your personal chest to store your items.
