this group is almost as old as steam itself.

many of us have 20 year badges at this point.

we were originally a counterstrike clan, and throughout the years... our specific flavours of dedicated servers, forums and website kept us going for many, many years. Its safe to say, drifting from the dedicated server model as games progressed was mostly responsible for the "disburstment" of our old guild.

but here we are, literally decades after founding, and the NT group still has 310 members.

so, should we do something with this group?

what games are people playing?

i play mostly pubg now.. tiberium alliances tib 60, ill screw around in cod, and i might play the new CS.

It's been a fun ride! We as a gaming community have lasted a long time. I know the last few years have been a little lackluster for the NT community, but people tend to move on and find other interests. I think we have all had a pretty positive experience here. Many of us making friends both inside the game and also carrying to outside the game in many cases. Tempers have flared and harsh words exchanged at times, but at the end of the day (or end of an era depending on who we are talking about :wink: ) we are all friends here. We have shared both life with new children and death of loved ones over the years (about 14 years now). It's been amazing that it has been that long, and amazing to watch some of our players go from kids to young adults.

I want to thank everyone who has been here for making this a fun place to come play, discuss, argue, and laugh. At the end of August, I will be shutting http://www.newbietrainer.com down. I am sad in doing so, but I think NT has run its course all it can.

It's been in the talks for a while now, but it's finally here. Newbie Trainer now officially supports Valve and Hidden Path's new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive!

NT1 has been converted into a completely new 100 tick Global Offensive server, and we invite everyone to come check it out.
