We're still a little ways out on having Civ6 support in GMR. Primary efforts right now are adding support for the save files in our current library that handles the CivV ones. That's open sourced over at https://github.com/n7software/MRobot.Civilization/tree/CivBE2

I hear your save parsing library is also on GitHub?

Our next major effort is finishing the release for the newly re-written Multiplayer Robot. Most of the work for that was done a year or so ago but the front-end was a gross hodge-podge of jQuery and Handlebars. I've started a project to re-implement the front end for that in React/Redux/Typescript which we're also open sourcing over at https://github.com/n7software/MRobot.Web. I've just barely got it started though, and am working on configuring it with our SignalR backend.

I'm also getting started on an open-source desktop client for the new MR using Electron (like what you did!) and using React/Redux. I don't have the initial commit up for that yet, but it'll live over at https://github.com/n7software/MRobot.Electron

Anyway, glad you can step in fill the much needed Civ6 PBEM gap. If you'd be interested in joining forces and working on the new open source Multiplayer Robot with us we'd love to have you :)

Hello NullMaster,

We are expereincing a funny problem since several days. We cannot start a standard new game with GnK/BNW + DLC. After seting everything up and pressing "Start Game", the page will ask: "Once you've started the game you will not be able to make any changes to it. Are you sure you want to start it now? " After pressing "Yes" the page continues showing the same banner and the message "Starting..." where the yes/no buttons were.

Refreshing the page shows the game has not been started.. Bassicaly i am not able to start a new game anymore since a couple of days... Any suggestions?

Sorry about that! We just published a fix for that. Try it again and let us know if you experience additional issues.

Very interesting! Thanks for the info @ayubalugu. I'll try reproducing that sometime and see if I can find the bug causing it to crash.

We're still alive, but haven't been able to invest much time into GMR lately :(

I'm not sure what a fix is for the desktop client yet as I actually have been unable to get CiV to load a Hot Seat game on my PC for awhile now. @ayubalugu, could you reproduce the crash and email me your GMR Client debug logs and I'll see if anything surfaces in there?

You can right-click on the GMR icon in your task tray to find an option for navigating to the debug logs. In there you might find an exception related to launching CiV via Steam.

I believe that client works with the current GMR at http://multiplayerrobot.com.

Also, yes, both the current and new windows clients should be working on Windows 10. At least they do for us and many other users.

What specific problems are you seeing?

No, we haven't abandoned the project. However the amount of time Tazzik and I have been able to commit to it this last year has been dismal.

We have more or less abandoned any updates to the current GMR platform, while we invest what little time we do make available into the next-gen solution (http://new.multiplayerrobot.com). Progress on that has been going at a snail's pace, but it has been going! We're close to releasing support for Beyond Earth game's, then we'll tackle some more robust community features.

I can't say exactly when the new system will get here, but it will be leaps and bounds ahead of the current one, in terms of both performance and features.
