Pixel artist, game developer, journalist

Matej Jan a.k.a. Retro got his pen name while writing for the leading Slovenian game magazine Joker in the 2000s, authoring educational articles from pixel art to programming while fondly remembering games from the 80s and 90s. He continued to cover the emerging pixel art scene on his blog Retronator[www.retronator.com], as well as working on games and producing pixel art tutorials. He is now working on Pixel Art Academy, a game for learning how to draw, while also participating in game jams, contributing to games such as Time Glitch among others.
