Your Hard Drive Is Almost Full? You Came to the Right Place!

This group's whole purpose is to showcase any game that may be good (or bad) that is less than 1024MB, or 1GB. (Now showcasing games under 5GB! If I feel like installing them...) The MB shown may not be 100% exact and could be rough approximations. These are the MB shown at the time of writing. Updates to some games may increase the disk usage.

If you have a game that fits the criteria of being under 1GB or 5GB, let me know! Provide your own Steam releases or suggest a game to me. Games I see on the front page don't usually interest me that much because AAA games are WAYYY too big.


For a certain period in time (and still kinda now), I had an obsession with making bootable USB Linux sticks. I wanted to make one with a distro that had Steam and RetroArch preinstalled. For a USB stick that held, say, 256GB, I can't possibly fit GTA 5 and Doom Eternal. There had to be smaller games. I wanted to create a discreet USB gaming stick that you could theoretically use on any public (or private) computer.

I wanted to know how big a game was before I wanted to buy one. That is unfortunately not possible. The store pages did not show an exact number of MB/GB, only a very rough estimate. My group and curator page is to showcase a more accurate MB/GB usage. I did not expect people to read my listings at first. But sure enough, if you google "steam games less than 1gb," this page shows up. I mastered SEO without even trying.
