Stop playing with yourself...

For the hardcore, casual or whatever gamer you care yourself to be, Lancaster University Gaming Society is the place for gaming at Lancaster Univeristy. Catering to a wide variety of genres, tastes and skills, LUGS hosts sessions of gaming fun for the console player and PC gamer alike, every Saturday in Bowland Seminar Room 6. Bring a console, bring a game or just bring yourself, hours of fun in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Together with fun packed social events throughout the year, as well as our weekly social gathering in County Bar every Tuesday evening, LUGS is a great place to meet new people, socialise with people from across the university, and of course, talk about video games!

LUGS Steam Thursdays!

After a quick vote by our lovely members, Thursday was the night chosen for the proposed Steam night. Thusly, LUGS Steam Thursdays are born! Every Thursday night from 8pm, we'll play a different game, predetermined for everyone to prepare for, all get on Steam and Skype, and play games together over the internet! A weekly PC Lan without the need to drag all our equipment to seminar room 6! Not that this will replace the PC Lan, oh no, they'll still be going ahead every 3 weeks, but this should certainly satisfy your cravings during the wait between Lans.

This week kicks off with some Team Fortress 2, as it's a free to play game pretty much everyone on Steam plays, and we get the chance to experience the spooky going-ons of the Halloween update! The event has already been set up, so make sure to have a quick glance, oh and if you haven't already, add nickrpgreen@hotmail.co.uk to your Skype contacts, and request to join the LUGS Skype group to get involved with that as well!

PC Lan!

This Saturday (20th Oct) marks the date of LUGS first PC Lan of the 2012-2013 academic year. This is an event where members bring their PCs and Laptops along to Bowland Seminar Room 6 and we play PC games all day! This year, we're actively seeking members and ex-members who can't be there in person, to join us online, via use of this very Steam group. So yeah, get yourself down, or online, and for more info, check out the Facebook page, which will soon have more info about how we'll be using Skype for our internet buddies for this event.
