Selection Of Games To Play With Those That Are Not Experienced In Gaming

Ever wanted to start gaming with your partner but they're not confident in their skills or are reluctant to pick up a controller to play?
Fear not, because here is my list of games that I have tried with my girlfriend and reviewed them according to her reaction and our time playing together.

- Parents
- Siblings
- Old and young people you have to be with
- Basically, anyone that is not experienced in gaming.
- Also a great selection of games to host a local co-op party

- Casual Games
Accessible games with mechanics that aren't too punishing. These are great to play for a while without too much of a commitment. Rewarding in small bursts.
- Games That Require Time
Games that are great for co-op, but may require a bit more time or explanation to fully enjoy the game. If you have the time and patience to help your SO, these games will be rewarding in the end.
- Single Player Games - Sharing The Experience
These games don't necessarily have co-op/multiplayer, but are entertaining enough for two people to share the experience. Whether its mechanics, story or the art, these games are great to take turns, experiencing an interactive story together, or even let your partner take charge for some back seat gaming.

- Only game she has finished entirely is a Bratz game on PS2
- Started but never fully completed Donkey Kong Country
Essentially, she's not experienced in gaming, but that doesn't stop us from playing games together and enjoying each others company.

- I have a desktop computer connected to the TV.
- An Xbox One wireless dongle connecting up to 4 Xbox One controllers.
- A comfortable couch/bed for mid-game cuddles.

- I mainly focus on local-multiplayer/split screen games as couch games are the best environment for couples to bond over gaming.
- However, I also review single player games that are compelling enough to peak the interest of two people to share the experience. These games come in all different forms.

I also play games on the Nintendo Switch. Local multiplayer games on the Switch are amazing due to its portability and controllers, as well as being a great platform for indie developers to shine and show their best work.
