multi-buy preferred
there has been recent contention brought to my attention vis-a-vis multibuy. Some people will reserve games they already own. To get preference.

But buying games you already own is against the rules.

Thoughts?

my suggestion: if they alrdy own the game(s) they have to give it away for free to the first person who posts/posted in the thread and doesn't own it

free games for everyone!

For me, I allow it only when they take the filler games (without interest) to help finish the split. I don't care if they already own it or not.

I think I've seen it happen a few times now where someone will also take the cheapest game from the bundle to get the deal, regardless of whether they own the game or not. They're outbidding the previous highest bidder in the cheapest way possible.

I'm not a big fan of multi-buy at all, but I can understand that the host is trying to get rid of as many games as possible.

Unfortunately, I don't have a good idea how this could be handled better.

It kinda happened to me yesterday: there was a pack of games available for 10 EUR up for grab here in the group, but I already had two games inside It.
My solution was to open a new thread and offer those game for cheaper than the current going rate (and almost immediately sold them)
I feel like it's a win win scenario and a bit fairer than asking the buyer to post them for free, but it might be a bit harder to enforce

It allready does hence why this topic exists.
Otherwise there is no problem at all because multi buy is not against the rules and claiming games you allready own might be a not so nice move but also not against the rules.
At least not until a new rule is written down.
