What this group is about

How many times have you heard the word 'n**ger' get thrown around casually on a game server? How often have you been subjected to sexist name calling or been aggressively hit upon simply for the fact that you are a 'girl gamer'? Ever been called a 'f**got' by someone who just killed you? Remember that group of players who ganged up on someone else just because they spoke Russian?

Discriminatory abuse and bullying is something that is frowned upon in decent society, whether it be racism, sexism, homophobia, bigotry, or any other forms of discrimination. Unfortunately, these are rife in gaming, and there is little control over it.

What this group aims to achieve is to raise awareness of this, and to try to influence change in player's attitudes towards one another, for the better. This is no longer a world where abuse of any kind should be tolerated.

As the group grows and develops, one of our goals will be to assess and rate gaming communities, clans and servers to see which have anti-discrimination policies that are actively enforced.

We are people, and we are gamers.

The core belief of GaD:

Every person, regardless of gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation, should be able to enjoy online gaming without fear of discrimination, bullying or intimidation.
