The Galactic Imperial Navy (GIN) was founded in summer 2001 as part of the reorganization of the old Imperial Military of the Galactic Empire (GE). Its GIA counterpart was the first to be settled, due to the ground based nature of most online games. The GIN division saw light in February 2005 under the oversight of the overlord Darkahn, and the leadership of Gloobenhagen, the division's first imperial supreme admiral. In 2010, a secession was led by imperial supreme admiral Technicolour and the so-called GIN "commissioner" Gunman. In a failed power grab in the empire's Movie Battles II establishment, they attempted to steal the GIN namesake and identity and to make it a division of The Sentinels (tS), a distortion of the Galactic Empire itself.
