48 hour demo for a game... will you have time to beat it or will you want to buy it after?

I came across a game that has been sort of on my radar but almost forgotten. Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning. I had played the original demo for the game and it felt like it was sort of set up like an mmo but it was a single player game. Currently on Origin you can get the game for a special demo... 48 hours of play and when you exit the demo, it will give you the option to buy the game at half price. But only when you exit the special demo.

The best time you can hope for would be just under 7 hours. This would be a speed run. Happy gaming.

After a bit of a look into this game and seeing some interviews with the devs. I have mixed feelings about this title. Mainly because of the company being sold to Atari and now to Perfect World.

A few points. Cryptic has mixed history. City of Heroes was a great game at release. Champions Online was alright but no end game at release. Star Trek Online was incomplete at release.

In a dev interview about NW, the dev basically says that it is alright to release an incomplete game. He even considers it acceptable if the game is a free to play game. No! Bad Dev! No!

I will be trying it on Tuesday to see if it is any good. From what I have seen so far, they borrowed heavily from Turbine's DDO.
