In the year 1444, The Kingdom of England was on the verge of losing the 100 years war to France. However through his advisers and diplomats, he was able to gain alliances with the French rivals of Austria and Aragon, along with an alliance with the Kingdom of Castile. Soon after the English troops lines their Scottish and French borders, the French demanded the Maine, however, the English are no cowards, and refused. War was declared and the fight was long and hard, however after many years the English came out on top with the help of Aragon and Austria. France was now a junior partner of the English. However after this war England needed a time of recovery and a time to improve their relations with the French people. After this time of Recovery was finished, the English declared war on all of Eire, aiming to take it all at once, instead, the English set up the vassal state of Thomond who owned western Eire, and England directly controlled the East. After the war with the Irish, The English turned there eyes on Scotland, who the English king decided had been a thorn in his side for long enough. War was declared, and English troops marched into the Scottish highlands with ease, and the Scots were subjugated under the English crown. With the entirety of the British isles under England's control, The King of England united the three kingdoms of England, Scotland, and Thomond, and formed The Kingdom of Great Britain.

Around this time, English explorers found the Caribbean isles, and created a settlement. As they settled the isles, more Europeans came to this new world, The Spanish colonized freely to the south, however the British and Portuguese fought for control of the north. As time went on, The English dominated the American east coast and Mexico, while the Portuguese reigned in Louisiana and California, The Caribbean was split evenly between the British and Portuguese.

British explorers also reached the west coast of Africa, and moved over the years moved down the coast towards south Africa, which the Portuguese controlled. The British instead of fighting the Portuguese, for fear of losing there alliance with the Spanish, let it go, for now. The Brits instead skipped South Africa and created a settlement in the south of Madagascar. This settlement wasn't without a fight however, and the British had to send a proper army to East Africa to deal with the natives.

Back in Europe, the Danes found themselves with a Lancaster on there throne, but no clear heir. The British monarch was opportunistic, and jumped at this opportunity to press a claim for the Danish Throne. The war was less a battle of land capabilities, and more a battle of naval power. This was the first show of British naval might, were the British ships just barley made it out on top of the Danish navy, thus The British navy became the most powerful in the world. The Danes were subjugated, however, in the confusion of war, the Swedish broke free from the Danish-led Kalmar Union. The Brits, not wanting this, declared war on the Swedes, and easily overran them. The Swedes were forced to hand Finland over to the Danes. A Second War with Sweden was fought later, and all but Stockholm and the surrounding areas were given to the Danes.

In East Africa, the British were gaining dominance. Madagascar was fully controlled, and now the British were starting to make incursions into mainland Africa. However the British set there eyes elsewhere, a bit farther east, India and Indonesia. The British colonists could not reach Indonesia, but they discovered a new continent to the south of Indonesia, it was dubbed Australia. As Australia was colonized, A massive army was sent up to India to fight the giant Indian superpowers that reign there. The War was longer and harder then the British expected, not because the enemy was strong, there armies were weak and could be easily defeated. It was because the Indians had superior numbers, and they new there terrain, all this terrain was new to the British. In the end however, the British came out on top, and established a colony in southern India.

Australia was done being colonized and the east indies were ripe with trade. However, and old pain in the neck of Britain was there setting up there own colonies, the Portuguese. This was enough to finally take Britain over the edge, and war was declared, regardless of Spain promise to protect Portugal. It was easy to beat the Spanish, not because they were weak, they just did not expect an invasion from there close ally, the British didn't want to lose Spain as an ally, so they quickly moved and occupied the Spanish capital, and Spain, who didn't want to lose Britain as an ally, left the war with nothing changed. The Portuguese's only protection was gone, and it was alone to face the wrath of the British Empire. The British colonies in the New world did a nice job of overrunning the Portuguese colonies, and the British marched into mainland Portugal, and burnt the entire country to the ground. After the Portuguese kind was begging for peace, the British King took every overseas Provence the Portuguese owned, all they had left were some islands in the Caribbean, and a islands that used to be checkpoints, but are useless to Portugal now since there Indonesian possessions were stripped from them.

A war with Poland was inevitable, The Polish had interest in Danish land, and the British/Danish king had interest in Polish Land. In 1704 the irrational British King declared war on Poland on behalf of Denmark. it was true, he outnumbered the Polish two to one, but he only looked at numbers, the British army was stationed all over the world and was of a lower quality then the Polish army, and Poland's army was all concentrated in there mainland. The war did not go as expected for the British, and after 5 long years of fighting, the British finally gave up as there allies surrendered, and the war became more and more hopeless by the second. In June of 1709, Britain surrendered, suffering its first defeat in centuries. The King abdicated in shame, and was later found dead, assassinated by his generals. The New King however, sparked hope and inspiration in the People. He promised that the Poles would pay for what they did. In the span of roughly two decades, the British armies non-stop drilled, better military advisers were hired, and one of the biggest projects in British history took place, the construction of the Great Burgundian Wall, a wall that lined to border France, with the most powerful forts stationed at regular intervals along the wall. After the construction of this wall, no enemy army ever stepped foot in France ever again. In 1731, the British monarch saw the opportune moment to strike. The Poles were being weakened by a war with the Ottoman Empire, and the Poles were winning, but barley. The British declared war, and quickly marched into Northern Poland. However this war was not as easy as expected, because the Polish armies were still more powerful and much better disciplined then the British, but the sheer amount of armies they were fighting was too much and they surrendered 4 years later. The British took there entire northern coastline from the Poles, and with this war, British dominance over the continent was established.

The next century was peaceful for the British in Europe, and they fought no major wars until the early 1800s. However overseas, the British were hard at work expanding there influence in Indonesia and India. Three Indian superpowers, all in a triangle alliance halted British expansion much farther into India, however, The Kingdoms of Tonga in the Philippines and Ayutthaya in Indochina were weak enough that the British could easily overrun them. The entirety of the Philippines were under British control, and and all of Malaya, and a port in Vietnam were taken under British authority in two small wars.

A personal union over the Kingdom of Naples was formed. The British king, seeing this moment as an opportunity, declared war on the northern italian republic of Milan, the war was quick and easy, and the client state of Lombardy was estblished, two more wars and Milan was fully subjugated under Lombardy, and Italy was in British control.

In the late 1800s, the Greek rebellions sent a plea to the British, and the British struck a deal with the Greek people, that the British will help free them from the Turks, however the Greeks would be subject of the British Crown, but highly autonomous and basically independent. The war against the Turks was a success, and the Greeks were freed. The Austrians freed the Serbs and Albanians as well. The year is now 1821, and Britannia rules the waves, dominance in north america, east and south Africa, Indonesia, and India show a bright future for the British empire, but nationalism is growing, people want freedom, the french, Danes, Swedes, Norwegians are rebelling for the first time in centuries, the overseas colonies want more liberty, the Italians want freedom, what the future holds for Great Britain is unpredictable, and only time will tell.

The Sultanate of Rûm Reigns

In 1444, Padishah Ibrahim II knew the end of this Small Sultanate was near, the Ottoman Turks were breathing down his countries neck waiting for the truce to end. Ibrahim only knew he had a matter of time to secure a strong alliance to deter the Ottomans from attacking. He found an alliance that was even more than he hoped for, an alliance with the Mamluk Sultanate, who saw that the Padishah of Karaman was threatened by the Ottomans, and thus they forged an alliance to weaken the Turks. After a year or so of preparation after the truce with the ottomans ended, Ibrahim declared war, calling the Mamluks to his side. Things were looking as though it would be a stalemate, however by the grace of god the European power of Hungary declared war on the Ottomans, forcing them to divert their attention to the European front allowing the Karamanese and The Mamluks to sweep through enemy territory with ease, at the end of the war, Ibrahim divided the Ottomans into multiple pieces, so they would never rise again.

The next few decades would see the slow conquest of Anatolia by the Karamanese, and eventually even making incursions into Greece. This however caused the formation of a coalition against the Karamanese, which tried to halt the expansion of the Karamanese, but was destroyed in a mere 3 years. This war however put the Karamanese into serious debt, and they were forced to spend the next 10 years recovering their economy and manpower.

At the end of the 10 year recovery, the Karamanse declared war on the Sultan of the Ottomans for the final time, and wiped them from the face of the earth, and he declared, that from this day forth, with the destruction of the Ottomans, that he would be known as the Sultan of Rûm. With Anatolia now under Rûmi control, and a Rûmi march, Bulgaria, acting as a buffer on the European border, the Sultan focused on Mesopotamia, which was swiftly conquered from the weakened Aq-Qoyunlu and Qara Qoyunlu in a few short years. The Former ally of Rûm, Ajam, in a move that shocked the nearby countries, rivaled Rûm and declared himself King of Persia. This Kingdom however was short lived and the Kingdom of Persia was partitioned by Rûm, Transoxiana, and Khorasan. The Rûmi Sultan however, wanted more Persian land, and declared war on Transoxiana, quickly defeated them, and took their Perisian holdings, he did the same for Khorsan and even expanded into Afghanistan.

At this time, the Sultan of Rûm knew, that if he wanted his Kingdom to truly prosper, he needed to conquer the lands his old ally, the Mamluks held. He turned on the Mamluks and declared war, little did he know, this war would be the longest, most brutal war in Rûmi history. The Rûmi armies came in from their border in Anatolia, and their border between Mesopotamia and Persia. The armies in the east swept through the Arabian provinces with ease, however in Syria, the Mamluks pushed back into Anatolia. Not wanting to abandon the plan the Sultan of Rûm allowed this, and kept the successful armies in Arabia to siege down the Mamluks allies. The Mamluks reached a fort at the capital itself, Karaman, and began to seige. The Sultan, fearing for his people, finally abandoned the plan and sent the Arabian Armies to the north to help the Syrian Armies. What ensued was a battle containing all of the Rûmi army and most of the Mamluk army. Just barley, the Rûmi armies won, and chased the Mamluks back into Syria. However now the Mamluks were n Arabia and were retaking land, but the Mamluk allies were willing to leave for only a few ducats, from here it was a long pust through to egypt, but in the end, the Rûmi came out victorious, and The Mamluks asked for peace, all the land down to Jerusalem was taken, and the Mamluks were severely weakened for the rest of their existence. This propelled Rûm to be the dominant force in the Islamic World.
After this war it was slow and gradual conquest until the reign of Sultan Mahmud II. under his rule he extended Rûm to almost double its current size in only 20 years! It began with his ascension to the Throne, where he immediately moved his capital to the more developed Constantinople, and declared war on the Mamluks, and instead of taking the goal of his father, which was the rest of Arabia, and the holy city of Mecca, he instead destroyed the Mamluk amies, and he himself led the Rûmi armies into Egypt, and annexed the entirety of it. Wasting no time, he dealt with the rebellions and declared war of Tunis, fully annexing it into his realm, this sudden display of aggression forced another coalition to form against Rûm, however Mahmud II declared war on the coalition itself destroyed the coalition armies, and annexed most of Arabia in the peace deal. He than turned toward Morocco, declared war, and fully annexed them. Not done yet, in his final years of reign, he conquered southern egypt from the Kingdom of Yemen. After this mad spree of conquest, Mahmud II died, leaving his son, Masud IV to deal with the rebellions to insue. These rebellions were easily suppressed because the Rûmi armies overall strength were increased during Mahmud's reign.

Masud IV not wanting to be overshadowed by his father, declared war of the Kingdoms of Aragon and Portugal, and made incursions into Italy and Iberia, starting what has been humorously called, the Re-Reconquista.

After the initial incursions into Italy and Iberia, a true show of strength was displayed by Rûm, when they declared war on the Castilians, who were ruled by the French, The French were allied to the Papal states, and the Commonwealth. Single handedly, Rûm swept through Iberia, marched a large army led by the Sultan himself into Warsaw, and from his Italian holdings attacked the Pope, After capturing Warsaw and a few surrounding cities the Commonwealth left the war, leaving only the French and the Pope, which left after the fall of Rome to Rûmi armies, on three fronts Rûmi armies closed in on Paris, forcing the french to sign a humiliating peace treaty, ceding all of southern Castile to Rûm.

From here Rûm was relatively peaceful, only fighting two major wars again for the next 70 or so years, one more against the French for the rest of Iberia, and one against the Kingdom of Mali. Other wars fought were against Portugal, where that were fully annexed and their colonies stolen, and a few short border disputes with some surrounding nations. This brings us to today, January 3rd, 1821, where Rûm is the strongest nation in the entire world, holding by far the largest army with over 1,000,000 men, double the size of the second most, holding the strongest fleet in the world, the most land, and domination of trade.
