"Periculum facere - Taking a risk"

Survivors from the entirety of Chernarus will gather for a huge hunting event that is all about taking risks. A unique mix of PvE, PvP and gambling will give us an entertaining spectacle of mankind’s most primal pleasures.

At 9PM GMT everyone will meet our host Jericho_Hill from the Polana Trade Union in Holiday Camp Nadezhda just south of Novy Sobor ( http://dayzdb.com/map#6.071.084). Survivors will then form small teams to compete against each other in the art of hunting and collect meat steaks for points.

However, you will be given a choice: You can decide to hunt animals or you can decide to hunt a wild pack of armed beasts which are prowling in several cities of Chernarus and hold notes that are worth large amounts of points.

After one hour and thirty minutes, Hunting Season will be declared over through sidechat. After this point, no killing is allowed and everyone will be greeted by Jericho_Hill with their spoils in the Holiday Camp Nadezhda again.

Now, everyone gets a chance to prevail by risking their luck and big haul in a tombola and gambling games. There will be several grand prizes and prize pools with loot for the winners and a tasty BBQ for everyone!

In cooperation with the Polana Trade Union, we’re proud to present to you the grand Chernarus trading bazaar this Saturday, September 19th from 1-5PM EST. (Countdown to the event: https://countingdownto.com/countdown/polana-trade-union-trade-bazaar-countdown-clock)`

What?
In a protected and professional environment, our traders and merchants will present you the finest goods Chernarus has to offer. While a dedicated security staff consisting of several factions (Duty, Brotherhood, Syndicate) will oversee trading activities and ensure you the smoothest and most solid business experience possible, the Yakuza will also cater your lust for goods you might normally not be able to afford by giving you the option to try your luck at several gambling games.

Where?

For the duration of this event, our server will be locked with a password. The password will be distributed at 1PM EST only through our ts3.dayzunderground.com:1337 Teamspeak server. Since there’s a high interest and we only have a limited amount of slots on our server, we recommend you to join the Teamspeak on time to reserve your slot.

The location of the bazaar will be revealed to you through TS and global in-game messages.

How?

Our various community members have prepared quite a spectacle for you, so we expect everyone to maintain a Role Play appearance, in order to be able to properly experience the atmosphere and events awaiting you at the grand Chernarus trading bazzar. As always, the rest of the community also highly appreciates media content and stories you can bring home with you!

Hey guys,

as most of you have probably heard by now, we're having the official DayZUnderground Event titled 'The Black Mass' on Saturday (30.05.2015) at 8PM GMT[www.timeanddate.com], meaning it will start exactly 24 hours from now! The server will be password protected and we will distribute the password shortly before the event via our subreddit and Teamspeak to our community members.

In this roleplay-centric event, our community will be faced with the Cult of Papa, a horrific sect of delusional sociopaths who have accepted the word of a madman as fact. In order to satisfy Papa, they must collect twelve bloody sacrifices as eternal slaves for Papa in the afterlife. We are here to stop and capture them!

While we're certain that the members of the Cult of Papa won't get through the night unharmed, we remind you that the fun you'll have during this event is heavily dictated by your behavior! If you come across any of the members of the Cult on their pilgrimage through Chernarus, keep in mind that simply killing them on first sight means you're also killing a potentially very unique encounter and lasting experience. Essentially you could be killing your own fun :D

We also want to capture the stories you create and go through and thus encourage you to film your point of view. If you're planning to create your own content from this event, we support you by offering custom DayZ Underground intro and outro cinematics[drive.google.com] (including a special 'Event' version). Additionally, we also decided to release the Black Mass Teaser animation you have seen in our official content to all our community members! You are free to use these in your Youtube videos or streams!

Our provider seemed to have a failure in their email system. As unfortunate as it is we were informed that one of our servers were to be moved during the 26th of May. This caused us to be surprised as our DayZ server went down for maintenance yesterday causing us several hours of downtime alongside losing control over the server in the administration panel. While we were meant to be informed regarding the move of our DayZ server, we never received such a message. The mail we had gotten was about the BEC server we use to maintain features on the server itself.

The consequences of the move are more intricate that we had expected at first, having been informed that profiles and persistence were to be maintained. This is not the case, and all characters as well as persistence has been wiped because of the move. This means everyone reconnecting to the albeit stronger server, will not retain any gear they had gathered previously, while the server should be blossoming with loot.

While the consequences mentioned so far are not something we are overly pleased about, we are however happy that the new machine that we have been moved to is more robust and physically stronger than the previous one. This means we are able to meet the hardware requirement for future patches head-on and can offer good server performance.

We will celebrate this improvement with our upcoming Black Mass Community Event on May, 30th.
