Dakr Powers mod for Half-Life 2 Teamplay

Dark Powers (DP) is a teamplay modification for Half-life 2 Deathmatch (HL2DM). DP adds a layer of strategic area control gameplay on top of the standard HL2DM team play. Spawn points are captured by overloading combine consoles with dark energy pellets AKA combine balls. Spawns can also have attached devices to help their teams, such as weapons and health dispensers.

Dark Powers version 1.2 released

Another new version of DP saw the light of day this week.

The main feature of this new build is the replacement of consoles with capture points, similar to those in Episode One. This is intened to fix a problem where combine balls were bouncing off the consoles, rather than powering them. The dp_console entity type remains, but now has a new model.

I've also modified dp_nova to fit the new capture points and added more details and lighting to the map.

The spawn model has alos had soem loving to smooth out some of it's more angular curves.

This build also fixes a bug in 1.1 where target ids were not being displayed. Since that was the main reason for the 1.1 patch, 1.2 should have a real WOW effect.

Work has been started on adding some player bots to DP, but they are currently really *very* stupid.

I'm quite pleased with the progress i've made on DP this week, so i'm sharing it with whoever is interested.

I plan to update my server to version 1.1 after lunch today, so anyone on version 1 will need to update to play.
