Attention to all who were waiting for news. Currently the biggest news of all is that the first press release of our new game ’Battle of Empires: 1914-1918’ has come. That’s right – the game, not a mod. Since the winter of 2010, we have been working hard on this project, and in 2011 we managed to interest game development company "Best Way". They helped us a lot in our work on the first part of the game.
And now we have registered our game on Steam Greenlight. Please vote for us!

Unlike the French and German Armies, its units were made up exclusively of volunteers—as opposed to conscripts—at the outset of the conflict. Furthermore, the British Army was considerably smaller than its French and German counterparts.

France was one of the major powers which took part in World War I, being member of Triple Entente alongside with Britain and Russia. It had second biggest army in Entente and played vital role, primarily on the Western Front. Up to 11th November, 1918 8,317,000 men were drafted into the army, 1.3 million of them were killed during the war

It has been almost three months since the last major update. It's time to show what we have done in that time and how much is left to the final.

There has happened a lot of things during that period. The most important event - meeting of developers(Volchonok - project leader, Visor - russian campaign designer and Nebel- 3d designer) in Moscow in August. During that meeting we discussed a lot of things about to the project, in particular, we made a short list of some new models, and also discussed some things, relating to the release.

On mobilization, the Russian army totaled 115 infantry and 38 cavalry divisions with nearly 7,900 guns (7,100 field guns, 540 field howitzers and 257 heavy guns). Divisions were allocated as follows: 32 infantry and 10.5 cavalry divisions to operate against Germany, 46 infantry and 18.5 cavalry divisions to operate against Austria-Hungary, 19.5 infantry and 5.5 cavalry divisions for the defense of the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea littorals, and 17 infantry and 3.5 cavalry divisions were to be transported in from Siberia and Turkestan.
