Welcome to Blockstorm's Elite!

This is a league for competitive clans to join and compete with one another in tournaments and matches.

The matches range in competitiveness, from light fun to hardcore battles. We're all friends here, but at the end of the day only one squad can remain!

Our primary language is English, though in our group are Italian, French, Portoguese, Turkish, Russian, German and more speakers if translation is needed.

We have four clans in participation as of yet:

1. Apocalypse
Leader --> Caleb4est
Second in command --> Eyleidz
This clan was specifically formed to challenge the other rising clans of Blockstorm, and make competition, friendly and competitive, for the other squads. Other members include DaFug and Arma-Kill93.

2. Unit
Co-Leaders --> Exenoxx + Keys of the Eighth Dawn
This clan is specificaly dedicated to being a home for some of the best players in Blockstorm. Many of the members are active members in the workshop and community hub. Diecourse (a living legend of Blockstorm) has recently left this clan, and Blockstorm in general.

3. Sioux
Co-Leaders --> VoodooChild + Lamber + Capro
This clan was formed by the above three players when they decided they should establish another team in Blockstorm. This clan specifically has a significant mark on the Deathmatch leaderboards, with VoodooChild leading the list.

4. Metric
Co-Leaders --> Redcorpian and Daza
This clan is another Blockstorm squad with some fantastic players and fantastic community contributors. Redcorpian specifically has an extensive amount of workshop content to his name. They have a light hearted, fun demeanor and enjoy having a good time while still "owning Unit".

Tournament Delay Explanation

As you guys know, the tournament has not made as much expected progress towards being official as was originally planned. Below is the explanation for why it's taking us so long, and when it will start to become official.
Exenoxx, co-leader of Unit, has recently informed me that an upcoming update will feature the creation of user-made official servers. When this update is released, Exenoxx will make one to avoid large ping difference and in turn unfairness between teams.
Logically, our tournament will, as a result, be postponed (not cancelled) until official servers are released. Thank you, team members and leaders, for your patience.
Please remember, prize donations are welcome and can be contributed in the Prize Donations thread.

Elite Tournament - April/May 2015!

Are you all ready? Our very first tournament is coming! It'll be in the next month for sure, but the leaders of the participating clans must consult to choose official dates.
After this tournament finishes, we will transition into a more league-like situation, with more dispersed games over longer periods of time, with a table structure rather than a progressive bracket.
The bracket will, most likely, look like this (the teams may or may not vary)

Unit vs Metric (winner progresses to final) -- Apoc vs Sioux (winner progresses to final)

There will be prizes. They will likely be games or valuable items, for the most contributing players from the teams (most kills/best score overall in the tournament). There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.

Team leaders, please read below.
It is your responsibility to make a thread on the discussions tab of this group, and give information on what your lineups will be (including substitutes). The games will vary from 4-6 players each team, so make a lineup for a 4, 5 and 6 player game.

The other leaders (Recorpian, Exenoxx, Keys of the Eight Dawn and Gnech/the other co-leaders of Sioux) and I will be posting updates on what the times will be, who will be hosting, what the prizes will be, what the map will be, and more.

METRiC is a clan based around the idea of "Hey, I wonder how funny I can be while owning Unit. heh." and making epic stuff :o
