Tribute to an old gamer friend who passed.

Basec7 was an online friend I made in the game Microsoft: Allegiance. I flew the bombers and he was turret-man, and he was amazing at it. I always felt safe with him on my turret. Once, he left for a while, and when he returned he let me know he was a cancer patient. He was young like me, in his teenage years.

Then some years later, just by chance, I met him in another game I played called Drakkar. A very niche game, so I was surprised to find him there. He was still suffering from cancer, and it was bad. He would disappear for weeks at a time while he did chemo.

Then one day, he logged on, only it wasn't him, it was his parents. They let us know he had passed. They wanted us to know, because he always talked about his online friends.

I'll always miss him. He wasn't just a good gamer, but a really nice guy. I wish he didn't have to die so young, he was one of the good ones.
