Fellow Cadets,

Great news! I was heard back from Mr. Victor Castro, the head of the simulation center in washinton hall, that a new club is being started called the modeling and simulation club. They have agreed to sponsor our matches and practices by opening up their equipment to us. This includes a row of new machines, and soon machines with GTX 980 Ti's in them. We now have a space where we can practice together in the same room and have all the gear we need. The club is looking for members so ill get a POC out for that soon.

This week we are playing against SUNY(2-0) on Cache. As you play throughout the week try to DM and PUB on Cache only as to get more familiarity with the map. We all know Dust 2 just because of the sheer number of times we play it, getting those reps in on cache is just as important. MTF on scrim with UMD this week. Event is currently scheduled for Saturday at 1600, if there are conflicts please let me know ASAP. Have a good week.

Alec has been kind enough to set up another scrim for us against UMD on Dust 2 this Wednesday at 2130 vs UMD. Please let me know if this time does not work for you. Plan on practice tonight to prepare some strats and smokes for D2. Ill be setting up a drop box for you all to upload your first person replays.

Server commands. Last saturday was a bit of a ♥♥♥♥ show due to lack of players being on time and no control over the server. We are super lucky that we werent just forced to forfeit the match, purely on the grace of RPI. Here are relevent server commands.

We have mostly finalized the servers with settings and a plugin to help start matches, so there should be no more issues with how to change map, knife, ect. The main chat commands you will need are:
.setup
.ready
.stay
.swap
.pause
.unpause
Example Match Start:
Players join the server, until all 10 are in
One person runs .setup in chat (CSL match settings are set as the default)
All 10 players .ready in chat to ready up
Server will automatically cycle from mapvote, to warmup, and then to knife round after players ready up
Winner of knife round selects .stay or .swap
Match will go Live on 3

We have been provided with a server that we can play on whenever. This is also where our matches will be played.

Here is how we record our matches. WE MUST ALL DO THIS.

All players are required to save first person demos during all CSL matches; coordinators should collect and zip the demos, then upload onto dropbox (or another cloud). Demo download links are to be submitted to csgo@cstarleague.com every week; demos will be collected and collated, and used for any potential cheating issues. Demos are to be kept online for at least two weeks while CSL collects them. See section; penalties.

To record a demo, use the console command “record NAME”, without quotes. The name should be your player name for easy identification. When the match is concluded, use the console command “stop” or simply disconnect, and the demo recording will stop.
We encourage teams to save replays in case disputes need to be resolved. Disputes without replays or other evidence will likely be ignored
