Hey everyone.

I have been non stop working on a classic roundbased purge server everyone enjoyed back in the day under a new community.

This server is almost fully ready for release, and has some cool new mechanics for replay ability, as well as new opportunities for new players!

To name a few:

Weapon Spawns:
Only during the purge round, random low class weapons will spawn across a variety of points during the purge. Only players who haven’t purchased a gun from the weapon shop are able to use these guns, as it’s a system for new players to get a chance to use weak, but reliable weapons for the current round.

Money Drops:
During random rounds, a money drop will randomly appear on the map. This will be alerted to the server. First one to receive the money drop gains the money. This does not occur every round, and is random.

Most Wanted System:
A custom made addon specifically made for our server. During the purge round, it tracks who has the most kills, and states their name and kill count to the players screens (top left). Killing a most wanted player will provide additional money to the successful attacker; but watch out, you might be next in line for the most wanted list.

Player Looting:
Our server currently has a looting system, which provides new players with more ways to progress through the system. After killing a player, they will drop a box in which you can collect their weapons and use for the rest of the current round. This is only temporary as they will be wiped after the round restarts.



We have so much more on the way, and I have been working so hard to get this to be the best it has ever been, but also retaining that classic flood-purge aesthetic.

Me and a few other Arithian Members have been working and testing on an nZombies server.

nZombies is the most accurate replica of Call of Duty Zombies there is on Garry's Mod.

It is a very fun and difficult gamemode, and I personally love it.

Why Make This?

Myself, have taken a portion of help in the development in the gamemode. I am NOT saying I did the majority of it at all, but I did take some portion in the gamemodes creation.

I was the first person to actually host an nZombies server back when it first came out, and ever since then, i've been in contact with the main creator,
Zet0r (maker of You Touched it Last, etc)

I have always had a passion for this gamemode, and that is why I am making it. The testers are enjoying the gamemode very much and so far we offer a decent amount of maps for its initial release.

Is It Out?

The server is still under development with an extra map coming tomorrow or the day after, and then bug fixes.

Custom Content?

Indeed! We have custom content on the server, and this is the first time I have made custom content for an nZombies server.

Whats Coming Before Release?

As stated above, I and UnmaskedCat are going to fix bugs / issues with the current maps we have created, and then create the last map, and release a public trailer, which will be followed by the release.

So everyone knows the server hasnt seen a peak of over 5 players in a whole month, and everyone has noticed I pretty much deserted the community development and scrapped any future ideas, etc.

This is entirely TRUE

I have deserted any work on the server because I myself have been going through some things in which will not be disclosed with any member of the server, or anyone I don't trust in general.

Will You Return?

I have lost all feelings to work on artihian, feels pretty lonely these days and not working on the server takes that feeling away. What does this got to do with the question? I probably will pick up arithian again. Just like a few months back when we ended the last Arithian server standing, I, out of the 3 original owners, decided to come back and pick the server up for a second chance, and it did great until IRL things started to occur to me, in which I blame myself for the servers death as I stated to the community I was working to keep it alive, when in reality I was not.

The majority of staff has seen this throughout me, as I have delayed updates weeks back, when they should have been added right away. Its sad really.

When Will You RePick The Server Up

This is uncertain, and I can't ever say it'll 100% happen, but I can't say it won't happen either because im known to always come back to GMOD servers and redo them for another chance.

Closest prediction I can find would be during the summer of July, or somewhere near that time.

Sorry for the lack of ownership shown throughout the past 2 months on the server. If picked up, I will ensure all IRL issues are resolved before hand.

For the past few days, I personally have been working on revamping the widely loved, Roundbased Purge gamemode we once used, and that everyone has missed.

The gamemode works entirely different now, with the exception of the buy menu, the HUD is different, health system is brand new, and looting is new.

Looting

When the purge starts, you will see a few grey cone shaped objects on the map, break these to reveal weapons to use for yourself for a one time use.

Want permanent weapons? Buy them via the Q menu.

This Looting Mechanic really helps new players get kills instead of using the pistol, which we have also changed. Goodbye ♥♥♥♥♥♥ HL2 Pistol.

When you kill someone, you can pick up their loot as well by pushing E on the crate and taking their items for use, these, are only one time use as well!

That is only the beginging of the new systems, we encourage you to try this out, as people love it way better so far!
