Gleam Gone - Death of Giveaways?

I'm sure all of you have heard about the Gleam fuss by now. Long story short, Gleam is no longer allowing standard users to host giveaways other than developers and certified users as things got out of hand. And now, everyone is going ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy.

Personally, I don't see the problem. Gleam is just a typical giveaway platform just like Steam Companion[steamcompanion.com] and Steam Gifts[steamgifts.com]. The only difference is the availability of "Rewards" which Gleam has to offer - basically an instant game giveaway.

But let's be honest here, how many of us actually play the games we get?

If you remember, we here at Elite Giveaways used to host mass giveaways nearly daily. However, we stopped doing that and focused on better and small-sized giveaways as they are much healthier than big giveaways and actually help games get recognised.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not throwing shades at anyone. Group owners probably did it out of their members' best interest or that is just what the developers want.

So my point is, there is no need to panic or fuss about it. There was a time when there isn't Gleam, just SC and SG and we managed just fine. Is it that hard to cope with the reality? The reality of not everyone being able to receive a game that they will probably not play?

As for Elite Giveaways, we will still continue to host giveaways, just not as big as before. We'll keep you updated with the latest news and deals. For a true gamer, the number of keys doesn't really matter because even the possibility of being able to win a game key is enough to keep us happy and satisfied.

My apologies in advance if I unintentionally offended anyone (especially game collectors) but it has to be done. Besides, you can still try to win them games. To all the loyal Elitors Don't judge, I'm crap at names, thank you for supporting us throughout this journey!
