After intense frustration with the lack of true RP seriousness or openness on Garry's mod, FrostByte decided to make the final word in roleplaying gamemodes. This group is for updates and general information on the gamemode. More information will be added later.

Q. When will XSRP be released?
A. It's hard to give a release date. It won't be extremely soon, but it hopefully will be soon after garry released GM13.

Q. What makes this gamemode better than other RP gamemodes?
A. Imagine this scenario happening. The mayor of the city has been in power for about 2 weeks, and has run it into the ground. He's spending the entire city budget arming his soldiers to the teeth and imposing martial law. The economy is tanking, since no shops can stay in business with no customers. Attempts to impeach him have all failed, so the public resorts to taking matters into their own hands. They hire the best killer they know, his target... the "dictator" as he likes to be called. Since the dictator never leaves his secure office, the killer plans and creates a device capable of removing him without ever being in the same room. A few days after he is hired, he unveils his creations: A hydraulic lift attached to a truck, and a penetrating "bunker-buster". He activates the lift to the precise position of the office, then throws the bunker buster. It explodes inside the office, killing the dictator and a few guards. He jumps off the lift and parachutes down. When he's at a safe distance, he blows up his lift and vehicle. No fingerprints. Could that happen in any other gamemode?

Q. Will there be an inventory?
A. Yes and no. There will be bags, backpacks, trunks, for somewhat... temporary... storage of things. However, one of the main features of the gamemode is that your property is your inventory. Anything you put there will save accross player joins and server loads.

Q. Will there be player skills to level up?
A. No.

Q. What kind of guns will there be?
A. GDCW.

Q. How can I support this gamemode?
A. At the moment, we don't want your money. We just want to know that you want to play. Add Apophix, Tidus, or Dice on steam and ask for an invite to this group.

Q. Can you name some features?
A. Yes.

Q. What are those features?
A.
-Persistent mayor voting that takes place on forums - a mayor actually has to campaign for a month, then get elected for a month while others campaign during his time as mayor.
-Guns are near impossible to obtain, they have to be manufactured, then bought by a retailer, then sold to the public. And it can take up to 20 minutes to manufacture a single glock.
-Everything, and I mean everything is permanent. Houses, cars, property, things in a bag or trunk.
-Full-featured forensic system, meaning if you shoot someone on the street, you're likely to be caught sooner or later. Police/detectives can trace the caliber of the bullet, go to gunstores and find purchases and then find you. Plus, they can DNA test blood if you don't clean up when you're done. Disposing of bodies is a thing that must be accounted for.
-Full-featured painmod, meaning if you get shot you will be disoriented, if you get shot in an arm your aim will be effected, both arms means you drop your weapon. If you get shot in the leg you'll walk with a limp, both legs means you can't walk. If you get shot in the chest, or lose too much blood, there's a chance you'll go unconcious.
-Multiple identities, multiple bank accounts linked to identities that might not be tracable. You could potentially have someone wire you money, then move that money to a different account and close down the other account.
-Many, many more features that I have no room to list here.
