What Is This Place?
Hallo, Sweetheart! My name is Melissa and I hide under the pseudonym XEALEEN in order to create reviews and guides for games here on Steam. If you liked at least one of my creations, then I am glad to welcome you here in my community.

All guides are created by me personally without anyone’s help and I devote a lot of effort, time and attention to this process, so I am very pleased to see your positive reactions, evaluation and criticism of my creations in order to become better. Make yourself comfortable and feel at home.

Why Your Community Is Closed?
It’s sad to admit, but I have ill-wishers and even envious people. My guides are open to all people for viewing and criticism, and I cannot limit myself from the negativity that then rains down on me.

I am often accused of creating guides for the sake of Steam awards, some people steal my design, text, guide outline and original materials without asking or permission, and of course lots of people often write insulting comments.

Here in the this community I would like to surround myself with a loyal audience who are interested in my guides and want to see more. So access to the group is limited for now.

I love making guides, but even in my favorite activity there are things that make me want to smash my PC so hard. The name of this thing is: recreating guides once again.

And it's not about the fact that the developers updated the game, added new achievements and now I have to update the guide. No, this is normal and natural. Then what's the problem?

At a random moment in time, Steam can selectively or completely delete all images from the guide. Completely. They will not be displayed to users, and in the guide settings, only the name will remain. Because of this, the entire layout of the guide collapses and even if the guide was completely finished, now it needs to be redone.

It is doubly unpleasant when I start receiving lots of angry comments about the guide being empty, nothing has been added to it, although everything was fine until Steam suddenly deleted the pictures.

The issue here not only in the fact that the images have to be re-uploaded and then the guide sections edited. For some reason, even if you delete old images and try to upload them again, Steam will show you an error. This can be fixed by changing the file name.

This problem is not unique to me, other guide creators also face it. And of course, those whose guides consist only of pictures suffer the most. No one knows exactly which images disappear: sometimes all are deleted, sometimes only some. Also, the guide itself does not depend on it: images can disappear in both a new and an old guide, in a popular one and in one that no one has visited for a long time.

Steam support can't help with this problem, they only give standard recommendations like checking internet connection, updating browser cache, etc.

The only way to get rid of this problem is to create completely text guides without any images, and I really don't want to get rid of the style of my guides, because I like the way it looks and I think it makes them stand out from the crowd, makes them attractive to users.

Or there's another option: constantly check ALL your guides for such bugs. Oh, I already have more than 90 of them, and such a check not only doesn't save the risk of encountering a problem, but also greatly discourages the desire to do anything at all.

I hope one day this will be fixed

Hello, Sweethearts!

I haven't been in touch for a while, so it's time to break the silence and answer some questions that I get from time to time.

Fewer, but better

You've probably noticed that the number of guides I release has decreased. Yes, this is due to the fact that I can't make guides for all the games I want as before, I have to be very selective. On the other hand, this frees up time to finish the existing guides, and new guides are filled in faster and acquire a proper, finished look.

Here are two excellent examples of guides that appeared recently and are almost completely finished — Age Of Mythology Retold Guide and Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Guide.

One of the serious points of criticism addressed to me is that at a certain period I created a lot of guides in a row, but not all of them were finished properly. I want to eliminate this shortcoming in order to calmly move forward, without looking back.

What's next?

You probably want to know what guides are worth from me: there are so many games ahead. I won’t jump ahead to 2025, we’ll talk about that later. Specifically, right now I can confirm that at least 3 guides on AAA games will be released by the end of the year. Release dates are constantly shifting and changing, so this number may still change.

So that you don’t torture yourself with guesses, I’ll tell you right away:
there will be no guides for God of War Ragnarok and Silent Hill 2. I also initially planned a guide on Dead Rising Remaster, but abandoned this idea.

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I have no doubt that there will be other enthusiasts who will create cool and useful guides on these games
