Here it is folks! The War Thunder Reddit Steam Group! (WTRSG for short. You know, easy to say.) This is primarily for easier organization for events and such. Event times will be put here and group notifications will be sent out via this group.

Events are usually posted on Reddit first, look there for primary information. This group is mainly for easier summoning of pilots to the events.

War Thunder is now on Steam which makes our Steam Group far more useful, to quickly add War Thunder to Steam, follow these steps.

Copy your War Thunder folder (The entire thing)

Go to your Steam Folder -> Steam app -> Common

Paste War Thunder into there

On steam locate the War Thunder store page, click Play Game, it will then download 1GB and you are ready to go!

The Campaign for Stalingrad

Factions: Soviets (Red) and Germans (Blue)

Stalingrad (Territory 6) is contested and will be the first battle of the campaign.

Soviet starting tickets: 284

German starting tickets: 271

Rules:
The winner of a game takes (or maintains) control of the territory, and will choose the next territory to attack. They may only attack a territory that is bordering a friendly territory. I will update the campaign map after every battle to show the progress of the campaign.
The attacking faction will take the role of the attacking forces in any given mission. For example, if Germany attacks territory 10 (Zhengzou), they will take the place of Japan's tank forces on the map while the Soviets will take the place of the Chinese bunkers.
Any ground targets lost during a game are deducted from the team's total tickets. This applies to both winners and loser of the game.
A game may only be won by completing the maps' mission objectives and killing all of the ground targets.
Players have unlimited crews and planes per battle. You may use any combination of fighters or bombers within your lineup.
The campaign ends when either side runs out of tickets. The winner is decided by which side has the most Victory Points, tallied up from the territories they control.

You may choose any from this list of planes used on the Eastern front from 1942-1943.

Soviet players may spawn as American if they use only lend lease aircraft- P39's, P40's, B-25's, and any others- provide a source!
