关于 Windows Mixed Reality Reviews

Telling you what works—and what's worth playing

I test Steam VR games for Windows Mixed Reality compatibility, whether it is listed or not. I do not test games that would only work using Revive. I only review games I have personally played and own. If someone else has reviewed it (because I don't plan on reviewing it), they will be credited. If a review is not credited and it's a game I don't own on Steam, I own the game on Viveport.

Besides just telling you if it works, I'll tell you if it's even worth your time and/or cash.

Games are reviewed on Windows 10 with an i7-4790 and a 1070 Ti using the Lenovo Explorer Headset.

Disclaimer: I do review free copies of games and software obtained through the curator program. I promise to highlight this in the curator recommendation by marking the "product received for free" box and stating it in my full review if I have written one. I promise that I evaluated the product from the perspective of a customer and received no other compensation than the free copy. A gift icon located on the curator recommendation states when a game was obtained for free.

I am excited to announce that I posted some new reviews of games from memory as well as made some lists. This is all I plan on at the moment due to my illness. Once I am able to do VR again, you can expect new reviews of curator titles first and then other titles in my library. I may also check out No Man's Sky VR if I purchase the game. Other games on my radar to review are Fallout 4 VR (which I own) and SURV1V3.

First of all, apologies that this group has been so dead. When I started the curation last summer, I had lots of free time and was playing VR constantly. Since I started college, I have been pretty busy and it's been hard for me to fit time for VR in. I was planning on some game reviews this summer (I have 8 games for review) but I got a horrible illness last month. It severely restricts my ability to do any physical activity. I will be seeing when I can safely play VR again and get out some reviews. I still have a passion for VR and WMR specifically and I want to provide feedback on a lot of titles. My first priority will be reviewing curator games though. As I have not been reviewing anything lately, I won't be accepting any more games if they are offered for review.

TLDR: Sorry for no updates. I've been busy with college, and a recent illness has made it difficult to get reviews out. I hope to resume curation when I am safely able to.

Update: I will be posting some reviews about VR games I have played that I never got to reviewing before.

Recommended/Informational -
Everyone knows Beat Saber at this point so I'll skip to the details. Albeit lack of songs, it's pretty fun. But you can download more with a mod you can find on google. A solid game, although it's a bit... unnatural cause you need your controllers in front of the headset at times. Not really a big problem, but definitely noticeable. It gets annoying at times when you get really active in specific parts of the songs. A must-buy if you're a rhythm game enthusiast.

Beat Saber and TapSonic World Championship VR works well as well. Both are Rhythm games.

Fans of DJMax Portables would love Tapsonic as the songs from there are in this one but the VR version is kinda... buggy? Might just be on my side, but do try it as it's free. There are not many songs right now, but you can buy more songs. It's f2p after all, but the songs I've bought (DLC Pack 1) is good. That is where your arms will start aching with the intense difficulty. Developers are pretty active in reading feedback and listening to the community, but the difficulty in this game is pretty intense at times. A good game to play if you're not willing to drop some dosh for Beat Saber.
