Whitelisted Groups Server :: Experienced/Group Players Look Here

OK, so I've heard a lot about people hosting servers which start great and fall off because players tend to fade out and the same more hardcore or committed groups are left to rule the land. So instead of continuously wiping the server over and over to promote server growth, we're going to start a server that is whitelisted to only experienced players or groups that are ready for it. So later today when we hit our goal of 100 players to open the server, we will wipe it clean and invite everyone in to start at the same time. This way groups and experienced players get to play against other experienced players for longer periods of time without server die off.


The way this works is fairly simple. We have a steam group. This steam group is whitelisted to come into the server. The server is running now but will not be wiped and ready to use until the 100 player group is filled. From there people are still welcome to join, however they have to simply join the steam group. The steam group will grow by other experienced players playing ont he server and handing it out to good players. The other way is people will read this thread and understand this isn't a server for brand new players that aren't prepared to be raided, hunted or generally unable to fend for themselves.

The server is a 300 person server limited to 175 people to ensure the best ping/fps. It's Chicago based and admined 24/7 by adults.
