Some maps require testing under stress conditions while running on a server, this is a group to rally volunteers for map testing to help emulate such conditions.

Participation is not obligatory to membership, just drop in when or if you feel like it.

This announcement is more of a formality given the long void in any activity the group has endured, but here it is in words:

The server's going to be closed mid to long-term. This community (if it even qualifies) was never on a trajectory for a point of sustained activity, and I have no desire nor intention to build it into anything beyond its core purpose; A place to demo and stress test maps for the workshop. While I will occasionally continue to put content on the workshop as a hobby, it will not require the kind of stress testing in need of a dedicated server or concerted effort to identify and diagnose problems with a map.

Thanks to those of you who helped test the one map that got put through the grinder. It wasn't the glamorous blaze of content I had intended for it when I threw this group and server together, but for its single period of activity it really did do its job quickly testing and establishing a stable map for all-around use on the workshop. So again, for those who made that possible, great work and thanks again. You filled the shoes this group came with perfectly.

For those who are interested, I may reshape this steam group page as a simple announcement board for myself and any authors who would like me to post their content here. There won't be a server, but you'll be able to play the content and post feedback on an individual basis.

First map, server now unlocked.

The server has now been unlocked.

Its first map to undergo testing, gm_flatforest, is now in the content collection and running on the server.

As I am still working out the best times and procedure for scheduling playtests, there is currently no scheduled playtest for this map.

A gentle reminder for those of you who haven't, be sure to drop by the scheduling discussion thread and post your preferred times, as well as your timezone!
