-Vegetarian: Someone who abstains from all animal flesh but still consume dairy (lacto vegetarian) and eggs (ovo vegetarian) or both (lacto-ovo vegetarian). Some fringe issues exist within the vegetarian world regarding uses of products such as rennet. Vegetarians do not eat fish.
-Pescetarian]: A pescetarian is someone who eats a largely vegetarian diet but still includes fish products in their diet. They do not lie within the veg*n community but are often considered a transionary stage.
-Omnivore/Omni: Someone who eats both plant foods annd animal sourced foods.
-Sentient: The ability to perceive or feel things. To have subjective experience. Normally differentiated from reason (the ability to think).
-Plant-Based Diet: A diet normally taken on for health reasons that consumes little to no animal produce. Usually with high importance placed on eating whole, unprocessed plants and fruits.
-Speciesism: The idea that being human is a good enough reason for human animals to have greater moral rights than non-human animals. A similar prejudice to racism, sexism, ageism.
